Although parts of them have one, the general rule is that you can legally drive as fast as you like. There have been some initiatives to introduce a limit (it's a topic that comes up every few years), but since our automobile industry relies on heavy and large cars, it'll most probably never happen. All (or a lot) your cars are limited to a measly 155 mph... pft :D

You've clearly never had authentic American cheese. I know you're joking, but that is not authentic American cheese. The US actually produces some mighty tasty cheese, usually of the cheddar variety.

I read the entire thread yesterday, and can't remember exactly which countries claim credit, but iirc Canada, the UK, Switzerland, and Sweden/Norway were on the list, somehow peacefully coexisting while we figure out why the US hasn't invented the paper clip or the lightbulb. I accept that we didn't invent everything. I accept that people from the US may be a bit confused about some things (as are many people from other countries it would seem). I accept that as time goes on, contributions for almost every product can be claimed by many countries. That doesn't mean that every contribution that the US has made should be ignored or played down. I'm not usually overly patriotic or oversensitive when it comes to complaints/comments about the US, but I really enjoyed the concept of this thread, and I enjoyed learning about the unique aspects of other countries. I don't like being considered a typical arrogant and ignorant American because it says "United States" next to my name, so I see learning as much as I can about other countries, no matter the content, to be really useful and interesting. I just think that the response to many of the US posts has been off-putting for many of us. Sorry for the rant. I'll think hard of something undoubtedly awesome about the US and post later :D Bro you gotta feel white guilt AND american guilt

I have lived in and visited a shit ton of countries including the US, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, Morocco, Italy, Greece, Qatar, Bali, Singapore, and more and I can honestly say that NOWHERE in the world is restaurant food and just simply the ingredients and food you can buy in the shops a better quality. Hence why the French have the best food. Again, completely wrong. Why do French people always need to make huge generalisations like that, YES there are good restaurants and shops in France, NO not all shops and restaurants in France are high quality, not even a close majority are. http://www.theworlds50best.com/awards/1-50-winners Come back down to earth man, Spain, Italy, Japan, and so many more also have insanely high quality venues. You could live for 10 years straight in France and NEVER come across 5 star food, heck you could live 90 years without doing so. Its the same shit in every country, and France is nowhere near ahead of any other regions.

USA A Ton of Great Universities. Production line when producing the Ford Model T Great Cars (classics and some newer) even though many countries can say this Some of the Best Pride, everyone knows that most Americans have great pride in the USA, USA USA Some pretty pretty golf courses. (Many counties can calim this also, but i know US has some sexy courses) Sports broad casting (ESPN). W/o espn my life would be a lot less awesome than it is now Many great Video GAmes (cough cough, Blizzard) I love American food, even though it might not be the best(read healthiest) Some great musicians (do not read this as POP/mainstream musicians though) Athletes Not too bad of Religious freedoms PAved Roads. WOW I know that everyone will complain about this, but USA has so much paved roadways even if it seems like there is always road work being done. Technology Influence Everything that i said on this list can be argued that someone somewhere is better, but these are the things that i love about America, and that is my opinion Also i know my country says Japan, but i lived 98% of my life in America (and a lil mexico) Edit: about the food : you can get 50 Chicken Mcnuggets and 2 drinks and 2 fries for 10$. HECK YA BABY!!!! haha
