You guys are overreacting to the reality of sponsor ships and eSports in general.
eSports is basically funded by advertising and marketing dollars, at least for the majority of teams and tournaments. All these sponsored players don't always expect the same things from every team due via Contract obligations, but players who are involved in marketing and branding themselves are really appreciated by their team owners despite what results think. Although in the end, Results make a player, doesn't mean someone who's extremely marketable (ie. CATZ and DESTINY) is a valuable asset to these eSports teams
I personally give congrats to catz and drewbie for giving into a better offer than what they had going on in root, the managers of coL have deep pockets and they send their team members to various events like E3 / PAX / CES, ETC, it really gives these guys more opportunities to practice starcraft and other things to look forward to besides trying to start up a team from scratch.
In order to be successful in eSports, you have to start with capital, I don't think ROOT started with anything besides a love for the game but they went a very long way, however stop hating on them for doing what's best for their living.
For everyone else hating on them for joining coL, you really have to look at it from ROOT's point of view because really all these BM nonsense is ridiculous.
