so sad for naniwa currently there are no foreigners able to compete with the koreans, i dont get why . i mean torch said somethign very smart about it: foreigner pros are interacting a lot with the comunity and not focusing nearly enough on the game, on the long term we're going to see the koreans dominating once again if the trend doesnt change. and that's exactly what's happening

Our only hope for a foreigner winning this tournament lies with Huk. Huk who spent 8 months living and training with Koreans. I guess if you can't beat them, you gotta join them like Huk .
|
MC v Bomber should be a Bo5... atleast
|
MC gotta co-cast july vs huk now

Bomber taking another base and starting +3 infantry and also air attack upgrades I watched the games yes, Koreans won all the time, don't know where the excitement is if I pretty much know the result beforehand lol. It's exciting to see the foreigners play against each other and it's exciting which one of the Koreans will win the tournament, Koreans vs foreigners is not very exciting atm... Oh? Have fun watching lower level games then when everyone else enjoy watching top tier players fighting out. As in BW people did not have fun watching TSL 1 & 2 ? Frankly if it comes to that, splitting the scenes might be necessary, for now it is still too soon.
EDIT: typo.

Is it really just the BW vs W3 mentality?
I really doubt people from BW (like me) ever thought less of Moon given his supreme showing in WC3. Even when he was still playing WC3, Moon was able to post respectable results among B-team BW players. His talent level is undeniable and I think the "Moon hate" simply comes from his bad showing against players like Bitbybit and in Code-A. He is a great player that shouldn't be underestimated.

There's something not adding up here.
When ThorZaiN goes to practice in Korea and becomes a "Korean Terran" he's easily win against Naniwa and Hasuobs also...

W00t? Did you even read what I said? I said I'll watch GSL or Koreans in other tournaments play against each other and be excited about that, but atm I'm not excited at all if it's Korean vs foreigner cause foreigner will lose anyway...

Man,all 3 Koreans that enter Dreamhack gotten into the semifinals.Another Korean got beaten by another Korean.Man, Koreans are just imba.
Honestly,I don't think Huk stand a chance against them. He's is somewhat lucky as his bracket was much easier compare to the others.
|
Just out of curiosity, if Huk hypothetically won, would people count him as a foreign player or a Korean player?
There's so much lamenting here over Korean dominance, yet Huk is not out yet, and he's proven that he can definitely keep up with Korean players. He did beat MMA, after all.

After MLG, so many Europeans were talking about how the best EU players weren't there and to look towards DH for the real foreign showing. What happened? EU didn't show up one bit. Kas, Happy and others who have such stellar online results didn't even get out of group stages. And I think if the Korean distribution was a little better we would see all four of them in the semi's.
Hard to deny Korea isn't very far ahead after MLG and now DH ... I remember multiple Europeans saying WhiteRa is the best Protoss in the world and/or the best foreign Protoss. I'm not sure if they truly believed that but hopefully this tournament will bring them back to reality.

Huk is Top 4, Which means hes gets a nibble of the prize pool. Good placement for TL & Huk. My choice to win is Huk and than go and win Code S like a boss.

Disappointed for MC. Huge respect tough, he's already asking for a Bomber/MC rematch at the next GSL (he phoned back to Korea just after losing).
