Results for May 16 – June 14, 2011
Due to some MLG scheduling conflict issues, this edition covers twice the time period of standard releases. This feature will be back on its normal biweekly schedule for next edition and onward.
Greetings and welcome to International Tournament Roundup! Sick of wading through countless threads, posts, and articles looking for recent SC2 tournament results? The TeamLiquid International Tournament Roundup is the one-stop shop for all of your tournament result needs, and it's coming to you twice each and every month.
Don't be fooled, the GSL is great, but there's a massive amount of talent outside of Korea. Foreign juggernauts are battling it out in epic games, and in epic tournaments, on a daily basis. After all, our boys have more than proven that they can compete.
Who's the current top dog outside of Korea?
Please note that if an event is not listed, it is likely because it either didn't make the prizemoney cutoff, or results were simply not properly recorded in public view by tournament administration. Don't blame me, blame the event admins. I can't do their job for them. Thanks!

Top Dog
There's a ton of powerhouses outside of Korea, but who's this edition's top dog? Let's take a look at which players have posted the most impressive results over the past month.
Note: This isn't a simple prize-money or medals ranking. It is based upon a combination of overall player performance, quality of competition, significance of events won, money won, activity, and my most sincere attempt at unbiased subjectivity. It only considers performances in events which concluded within this period.
+ Show Spoiler [Honorable Mentions] +
Due to the fact that this is a double-sized edition of the roundup during such a busy tournament season, there's a lot of players that have achieved a lot of success on varying stages. This edition, I will simply be listing many of these accomplished players, along with a single Top Dog. Don't fret, we'll be back to the standard format next edition!
Top Dog
+ Show Spoiler [The Top Dog] +
Nerchio !!
1771. This number may not mean much to you, but I've recently realized that I've memorized it. I didn't try to memorize it, it just happened. 1771 is a TLPD ID number. I look at hundreds of these numbers every time I put the roundup together, but this one sticks out. In the past 4 roundups, this player has been honorably mentioned 3 times, and placed third once. He's always there, but never at the very top. This time, in his 5th consecutive appearance, he's jumped to the top.
This edition, the always-appearing 1771 showed up on top of yet another large tournament against scary opposition in the Dailymotion Cup. MorroW, the exceptionally talented top Zerg, fell to him 4-0 in the final. Soon after, this player took down ThorZaIN, White-Ra, and a Terran version of MorroW, earning himself SHOUTcraft gold. If this wasn't enough, this player also smashed through two Zotac Cups, a Close Combat Cup, and placed 2nd in a Competo Cup all in this same period of time. If you still haven't checked him out, it's time you've learned the name of this edition's consistently beastly Top Dog: Nerchio!
Total Prizewinnings: ~$4,125+ USD
Medal Podium
Note: Only players with multiple non-showmatch podium appearances are included.
Next Edition: Early July 2011!
