So today in school I started thinking how much I plan on playing Starcraft 2 during the summer. One of my main goals is to get into diamond (I'm in platinum) and improve my macro becuase I usually take painfully late third bases and beyond. But then another thought crossed my mind... what if other people have this kind of plan too? Or what if some people that may not play as much now start playing again?
I expect that during the summer there may be a large influx of middle school- college players who might not be as mature/ serious as the population now. Also, can we expect the overall skill of the population to raise considerably as people have more time to play or lower due to the influx of casuals or "noobs"? Will cheese become even more popular as more newbies start playing?
How should the normal people treat these newcomers? Should we just tell them to stop being n00bs/scrubs or encourage them to become a part of the community even though they may be less serious?
Thoughts? I'm curious as to what the general consensus on this is.

It's not going to change so you should just ladder and practice and have fun
People who get off university/college will also be probably going to find jobs etc in the summer. Very people would probably spend their entire summer training on sc2 ladder (heck, you'd probably see a rise in stream viewers before you see some magic rise in skill). Lots of the casuals who quit during school year might start playing some 3v3/4v4s again. But overall, you can't predict any of it so don't bother.

Same composition as always, some serious, some decent, and some cheese. Just keep playing and stop freaking yourself out.

The average skill with increase over time, this has nothing to do with season, but with people simply getting better over time. Just keep playing and you will eventually improve.
