! Oh snap. I hadn't tuned in to this Sunday's podcast but I will definitely go append my error immediately. Thanks for the heads up, I'm sure this is a fantastic discussion.

the first 30 seconds is kinda weird

The sound levels of the podcast keep raising and dropping, it's annoying.
Not that that is stopping me from listening.

lol true, the actual show starts at 50 seconds.
It's an actual radio show, not just an internet podcast. So they have this weird format to kinda make a smooth transition between music, commercials and interviews. Just in case you're wondering

Why did I not know that Neil Degrasse Tyson has a podcast? I guess I know what I'll be listening to for the next 2 weeks.

Just to make sure that you don't have this unfortunate feeling again. Make sure you know of the existence of the Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, which is even more awesome (they also interviewed Tyson in one show, who said was a big fan and was inspired by it for his radio show) http://www.theskepticsguide.org/archive/podcast.aspx

Tangentially related is this show, which is essentially just the guided ranting of James Randi, quite entertaining: http://itricks.com/randishow/
