After I realized that I'm on silver league level in duels (see here), I've decided to stop playing 3v3 RT only and realy gain some experience in 1v1. I feel comfortable in 3v3 RT as there are two allies and my mistakes don't cost the game immediately, but it won't get me anywhere and I often enough fall for blaming the allies play instead of spotting my mistakes and work on them.
I've got a lot of time to think on the weekends as I'm with my girlfriend and don't play SC2. So I came up with the following ideas.
I want to play Random to learn a lot about each race, which will help me in 3v3 as well (as I'm not giving up on 3v3 RT! )
RekretSomething recommended the 4 gate strategy in case I get Protoss. And I would go for 1/1/1 whenever I end up playing Terran. If I random Zerg I would start playing with 7 Roach, Expand, Lair. What do you think? Are these three good basic BOs to start on? I would like to hear your opinion!
I guess I would just start playing 1v1 on Battle.net and learn the BOs from game to game. I don't have a lot of time to play so I would make every minute count, and I don't like playing the AI too much (the Campaign is an exception ).
Please feel free to comment on my ideas. I'm looking forward to your insights. Constructive criticism is always welcome!
