Were you ever accused of doing something wrong? Even if you weren't part of what happened?
I love Teamliquid. I really do. However, if it comes down to taking sides because of someone else's decision (which I'm not comfortable about because I support e-sports scene as a whole), then I'm not comfortable staying in the e-sports scene at all.
So thank you for not understanding my situation, and my true intentions.
I'll be taking a short break now. And I will make my decisions to stay or not after I come back.

Best of luck in whatever you decide to do.

Aw shizzle nizzle broski what's wrong?
If something is getting you down, you lift up that frown, and smile.
Put some tape, and tape those lips to a smile
Here's a dog, it'll make you happy.

people are always hating on the people not in their little subset of the population. it's a social disease. i've taken to the mindset that it's all a big joke

OP is so cryptic. Im confused.

I'm not sure what exactly happened since I've been avoiding the regular typical things that goes on TL now but it sorta sounds similar to what I had to go through and happened to me before I took my long break. Good luck with whatever you do and don't end up like me who's now a hermit among hermits on TL.

Can't really say anything with these limited information but I guess it has something to do with the Fomos translation which they took from TL? But one of the three things I actually hate is when someone accuses me of something (bad) even though I didn't do it/had nothing to do with it.

All because of Kiante giving you ultimatums? of all the TL drama to take a break over, its not worth it.

cya in 2 weeks. know eye deer what this is about though lol..

Hmm, hard to guess what's happened. Let's just hope it's not some silly drama.

Its pretty simple really. SNM is working with SDM who is stealing teamliquid translated fomos articles and posting them as his own.
I'm an OP in an irc channel called #teamliquidbw on quakemet (not an official channel or anything, pretty small).
I told SNM that if he was going to continue to volunteering for someone like SDM then i'd want him to gtfo of the channel.
SOooo somewhere inbetween he's taken that to mean that he's being ostricised by the entire teamliquid community. Not quite sure how my opinion was so meaningful to him, but whatever i guess.

Nope. he's been volunteering translating/writing the live report things that have been going up on the fomos site. SNM himself wasn't privy to the translation stealing that SDM was doing. but now that he is i simply feel that he shouldn't be continuing to help out. Simple as that

Now his cryptic statements make sense... Going to hold back judgments for now though.

As an op in the channel in question I would just like to state that I do not endorse any of this drama or any of the shenanigans that result may result as a corollary to said drama. #teamliquidbw intends to maintain its quaint and cozy atmosphere intended for partaking in the viewership of various "pro leagues" and is deeply interested in distancing itself from politics, issues, shenanigans, squabbles, drama, and most kinds of performance art.
Anyway, SNM, chill bro; Kiante's just mad. TL hasn't shunned you. That said, TL staff works hard; having their hard work ripped off, whether it's in the name of eSports or not, is unfair.
Sucks to be on the fence of this issue, I'm sure, but maybe you can pass the dissatisfied sentiments along.
SKT Hwaiting.

SKT Hwaiting. I highly approve of the last sentence. This man is a man of wisdom.

Who is SDM and why is he stealing translated articles?

He was a coach on Estro, providing the English-speaking community with a window inside the Korean pro-team. He also replaced lilsusie as a co-caster and translator alongside Tasteless during the GOMtv Classic tournaments. He also was a major contributor for SCforAll, which was a project to connect the English community with the Korean pro-scene, often through Artosis doing some of his famous interviews and tours.
He is also well-known for having a strong dislike for SC2 and Blizzard. I think he was the source of the infamous and misleading pic of the "empty" GSL finals some time ago.
That's all I know about SDM. Perhaps someone else can elaborate and/or correct any misinformation.
Also, apparently Fomos is going to have official English translations of their articles, but apparently SDM is accomplishing this by copying and pasting TL translations without credit, which many see as "stealing."

Sucks to see all this drama. Cya in two weeks SNM.
