this is grindtime, everything is written. everyone is expected to constantly barrage the opponent with a library full of prepared multisyllabic rhymes that are smart and funny. this isn't freestyle friday, its grindtime lol. i repeat, its grindtime

and this was racist, its not even like that. these types of posts are bannable offenses on TL, the mods are harsh be careful
i know the internet these days is full of anti-rap bandwagoners, and TL is full of nerds xD but never knew it was to this extent; most people in the thread have not seen this side of pop culture
anyways props to a 3-1 grindtime record, that is legit and i hope you soar in your rap career keep it fresh the rap game is not easy
Ahh ok I had no clue thought it all was freestyle or supposed to be. Either way Tunk was much better in all 4 imo either way ^_^ And Tunk sounded like he was free styling ^^ to me.
LOL u guys are so sensitive relax i was obviously joking. I was emphasizing the fact that the guy did an awesome thing, not that people in the crowd were holding actual fucking weapons.
Haha, sick. He had some good comebacks, but he just wasn't quick enough and you rolled 'em out way faster. His personal on-the-spot shit was like a challenge for you in the second round, and you just one-upped him hard.
Yeah I miss when rap battles were actually freestyle but then the snowball effect started of people adding one pre-written into it, then it goes on and on and on and now grindtime is 90% written. Dumbfoundead was one of the last ones I remember to do freestyle but with researching info on peoples backgrounds to that he could have semi-prewrittens.
And since I'm sure people want to hear a few lines with two asian rappers making fun of each other, mentioning starcraft n stuff

this one was soooo sick with all the asian jokes. both of these guys had great ones. I thought Tantrum had bigger rounds, but dumbfounded was more consistant.
it's an underground subculture. I can guarantee it exists all over Europe as well. as for dumbfoundead I suggest you all go to his YouTube page and subscribe. his written work is even better than his stuff on grind time.
www.YouTube.com/dumbfoundead I think is the link. also look up knocksteady or dumbfoundeadtv as channels. his stuff is brilliant lyrical masterpieces
loved it. not mor to say. i checked grindtime before when someone mentioned dumbfoundead (good to see him pop up in this thread as well ^^) and yeah, you nailed everything. love this individual/creative MCing style much more than just the standard blahblah.
