dodging Koreans would forfeit the integrity of NASL, espcially if they're saying "the best players in the world."
if any foreigner can go to Korea to try GSL the same opportunities should be available for Koreans. Koreans should have their fair % of the total player pool and of those players they shouldn't be hand picked from lower tiers. If its a SC2 tournament with large prize pools the competition shouldn't be rigged in any way..
lol at some of the comments here. We want to see the highest level games, not "drama" or "interaction" in chat..gimme a break
1) Invite the 5 Champions of the last 5 GSL seasons and any other major tournament outside Korea
2) Invite the big names from BW who have crossed over to sc2. (Nadda/Boxer/JulyZerg [if he doesn't win GSL5])
That leaves us with ~8 of the top koreans in the world (based on results). Leaves lots of room for full NA/EU players and allows for easy marketability. Legitimizes the league by including the best players in the world. I think it's a good way to start the first season.
Wimbledon = No Roger or Rafael = No Koreans = NASL
I hope this isn't the case.
I'm not understanding this? You're not saying that Wimbledon doesn't have nadael or federer in it are you??
i don't really get the tennis analogy at all since federer and nadal have both won wimbeldon and us open numerous times
No he means that the NASL leaving out koreans would be akin to tennis officials leaving out federer and nadal from wimbledon.
It's not a perfect analogy just cause the esports scene is still growing in NA, but was just used to display how silly it would be if tennis fans said they didn't want to see federer/nadal in a tourney because they could just watch them in wimbledon.
Point is you want to see top players in all the tournaments, and not just be satisfied to see them in only 1 touranment.
Watching the GSL Finals live right now, and the female Korean caster just commented that she was checking out TeamLiquid earlier and saw the threads about GSL Finals watching parties and wanted to give a shout-out to us... MC gave an intro in English... I can't fathom how some people say the Koreans don't care about the foreign e-sport scene.
What a moving moment of e-sports globalization! Kudos to GOM and the Korean progaming scene for reaching out to the foreign community during the GSL Finals!

no HuK no jinro, cause they obv wont play, but i added ppl like whitera, kas, sen, loner and others, who didnt do an application video so far - but could still possibly go to NASL.

Just to make you think, if "only the best players" - which means all koreans that want to apply, only does good for the tournament.
im still convinced, like 10-15 koreans would be perfect
€: forgot stalife and inka i guess. any other noticable NA player?
Very nice list. This definitely puts things in perspective as I was wondering how many good NA/EU players had already signed up. It's pretty crazy to see that some really good players (pretty much anyone on that list) won't be making it in. D:
If the number of Koreans is capped arbitrarily, I will just laugh. Look at the top right corner. Korean standard time. As in, don't fuck with the hand that feeds, and don't fuck with the premier community site.

Isn't Demuslim on indefinite mia or did he fully recover?

If you tell a player "you can't play here, you're too good" then you're not a serious organization. If you're a player and don't want the koreans there because you're afraid you can't compete, then you're not a real competitive player, you should go play in silver where you know you'll win.
So gsl should exclude any1 who doesn't speak korean?

Top 30 is a very nice list, bottom 20 are players that could defenetly be replaced by koreans, there are alot of players in there who I dont think are as close to the top as would be expected for this tournament (theres a few but still) artosis grubby machine incontrol kawaiirice ToD Lalush and axlslav could defenetly be replaced by koreans and it would make the competition in the tournament way more serious.
i didnt even mention somebody like thorzain from EU who just 2-0d fruitdealer, since he is below the other terrans in my eu ranking... its sad that its just 50 ppl.
if you invite the best i honestly have to say, that not more then 7-8 NA players should be in :/
