At least they are trying to compete in the NASL. I don't see any NrG members trying to compete in the GSL.

Or the relatively inspiring moneypool?
Nah, tournament of course gets better if there are koreans. Will just be hard control who exactly get in. If you start inviting all code A/S koreans who want to come (who wouldn't if schedules actually match), there starts to be really little spots for anyone who hasn't actually achieved anything big. And of course it wouldn't hurt to have the league differ a bit from GSL. If you really want to invite just who are the best of the best, it'll rapidly look like GSL#2 with identical players and I doubt that's exactly what the organizors have in mind. Or dunno?

We need to use the opportunity to let our foreign scene grow so that we can be at the level of the scene in korea. I don't believe this is the right place for them. They are obviously the best in the world, but i think inviting them into the league will hurt it more than help it :O
Everyone should be stepping up their game then.

The people who decide who gets to play in the NASL have a tough job ahead of them, that's for sure.
They might not want the entire ST team in the league, but it would be difficult to turn down any of those that made those videos as they are all top notch players.
I expect the player announcement day to be full of blood and glory.
I think July, Squirtle, Ace, and probably Bomber will get in.

GSL allows foreigners (and even cater to them to an extent) so I don't see why NASL would ban Koreans.

I seriously wish they give July a team jacket that is his size. That jacket is clearly too small for him lol.

Sometimes I wonder if people realize how incredibly biased they come off when they write things. It's like they don't take ten seconds to consider another's perspective.
Okay. How about the GSL makes foreigners do application videos in korean and are afterwards rejected/accepted by how similar their korean sounds to fluent korean.
Oh, and they can't want to play in the GSL for money. That would be bad.
Obviously that would be a silly situation, but your comments almost imply that you are looking for something similar.

Why else is Team Liquid in Korea...

Oh no, Korean players are gonna be in the NASL :X
Are Fnatic MSI guys not applying, other than Kawaii?

Playing against the koreans that live in progaming houses in a foreign league will be great. It will force the foreigners to create similiar environments. Weve heard from so many pros that the best way to better your play is to live starcraft and that the best way to do that is to live with your teamates in a starcraft centered environment.

The only people I see who can give the koreans a run for their money are the korean trained foreigners like Ret, Idra, Moonglade, Jinro, Huk, and HayprO. I can't wait to see people like MC, MVP, Nestea, July, Nada, MarineKing in the NASL. It's going to be epic!

So the first foreigners who went to Korea in the BW days were there to help the scene grow as well, right? Giyom and Elky were SUCH philanthropists, AMIRITE? None of these guys in this upcoming league or anything else in competitive gaming is in it for the money, huh? Having the best players in the world isn't going to help the scene grow, and I suppose that it's better to segregate the scenes until one can catch up (if it ever does)?
Subjective opinions, of course, but I can't see what you said as anything more than sanctimonious trolling.

I suspect they bring in Ace, July, Squirtle and maybe Virus.

This is also for the most part online. If the GSL was online as well there would be many more foreigners competing...

No need for ignorance like that dude. They answered the questions and gave it a shot.

Bomber had a crazy TvT with MVP and looked quite strong. Skillwise they all probably deserve to be there.
NASL did say they want the best players to be there, I do hope they truly pick the best and there is no discrimination. It will help creating a more global scene and both NASL and GSL will pick up viewers.
Also props to the ST team manager, attempting to get his players exposure to the non-korean scene. Though i wonder if other korean teams have also made videos which havent been found.

Ok, I guess you do have a point . Still, I think it's great that the ST team spoke in English instead of having a translator do it for them. They obviously put a lot of thought and effort into it.

You were attacking their English. I was defending them based on the only thing that matters in this context: skill.
Dunno what else to say.
