I usually face a lot of crap when playing random, for whatever reason. I haven't cheesed at all in the past however many games I've played (the last time was a counter-cannon rush in a PvP some 100 games ago) unless you count 4 gating PvP as cheese. Today I received the most/the funniest QQ I've received in a while. So much so that I decided to make this blogpost (and also amusingly tell a couple of my future opponents).
My first game was a bad one, a warmup PvP, so I'm not gonna post it, but the 6 following games were pretty good. I happened to win them all (yay)
Beware: I tend to macro a lot, so when I lose it's because I'm too greedy or because I don't respond to harass as well as I could, and my games can be obscenely long.
The games I played today, in order from (IMO) best to worst to watch:

In this game I roll Z against P. I decide to try a relatively untested build that, in my head, works pretty well. Basically I run the concept of not needing a queen until I have 3 hatcheries, and basically staying above the opponent macro-wise (which is not possible on two hatches). IMO it went pretty well, but most of my play was sub-par in comparison to my standard ZvP. I had slow teching, slow reactions, bad scouting, and a relatively weak composition. I lost the first end-game engagement pretty badly because I was in transit and not paying much attention. My hands felt slow throughout the game, which made it doubly annoying when I got caught in the middle of the map and his stalker/colossus wiped my army clean. Luckily he only had 2 colossi, so I decided to remax with almost pure hydra. In the end, it made for a pretty good game.
And so it begins...
Back off my third, bitch!
Oops! You caught me ._.
It's hydralisk time

This was my first game after my warmup PvP (which was a horrible five minute affair haha)

This one was my favorite simply because of the QQ from my opponent. I am, originally, a Zerg player, and I switched to random after I started getting ideas about builds for other races and out of boredom of playing Zerg every game. My best matchup before my switch was ZvP, which made it extremely funny for this guy to tell me that playing random is "easier" than playing Zerg (it's not) and that I get 33% free wins by merely cheesing. Of course, I never cheese, but I "cheesed" in this game (according to him) This was the funniest, at least from my perspective, because I was harassed for roughly 10 minutes after the game. I don't know how to block people while in-game, so when I was playing my ZvP after (the previous game I linked) I kept getting his messages. What made it even better was that I won that ZvP immediately after handing him his ass in PvZ.
This is me cheesing. You like?

I don't know how TvZs fare in terms of entertainment value, as they're probably the most common (and most cried-about) matchup in SC2. I roll T in this game on meta, and we're cross-positions.

I'm mostly improvising in this game, and I only recently learned how to play Terran. If you look at my replays page you'll see replays from the phase in which I started to learn Protoss (between December and January) and I've been learning Terran since the beginning of February, roughly. My T matchups are still pretty bad, so this is my worst performance (IMO) out of these games. Oddly enough, my TvT is pretty strong.
This game devolves into a baserace at the end. It was pretty boring for the first half, and the last half becomes something that's pretty good to watch.
Oh WTF a spore colony?!
Oh shit broodlords
Release...the baserace.
Vikings landing, medivacs saving marines...SO MANY ULTRAS
Picture says it all

ZvZ on one of the new maps; I go hatch first and my opponent scouts it, and tells me something along the lines of "bad idea."
Later, when he sees how many units I have, he insists that my economy must be hurting. I think I managed to outmicro him, but it wasn't my best game. I think I could've done a lot of things better, particularly because ZvZ used to be very easy for me when I still played Z exclusively.
[i]Close positions, you say? WELL time to switch directions! LOLOL
Look at that APM

This was a PvP in which I failed my four gate, due to some shitty micro and a non-optimal build, and then it went to a macrogame. I got a "gg" (with quotes) at the end, and I'm not really sure why.
For the most part I was fighting with better upgrades, but he had more units. It was rather weird, and I didn't feel comfortable with this game. Pictures later :p

This is an incredibly dumb game, and only watch it if you have time. I roll P against P, and my opponent does one of the stupidest builds I've ever seen (I don't even know what it was) I crushed him. Not a good game.
I'll play some more games (yay winstreak) and add more blog entries as they come. My goal is to get into master's, although with school I don't have much time to practice or ladder much. This is the first day I've laddered extensively in about a week, though with spring break next week I think I should be able to improve quite a bit.
Thoughts? Criticisms? QQ? It's all welcome here
