Not sure if this is "Group A" or "Group 1" -- Chinese site said "Group A" so I went with it @_@
Light: To advance, I practiced with Free hyung
- Any special words about your 10th time in the MSL?
▲ It's already been 10 times, but I still don't have any sort of strong feelings. I practiced a lot with free hyung, and my TvP ability has increased. I hope I can continue performing like I did today. Free hyung, GuemChi, and Flying are all really strong, so I feel like I can learn a lot. I'm still integrating into the team.
- After transferring, do you feel pressure to perform well?
▲ There's no pressure at all. Instead, the team's results are foremost; I thought, "If I can advance, that's great, but if not, oh well." The team's results are in an extreme situation, so SPL results are still most important.
- Any thoughts about your 10th time advancing?
▲ Before, I talked a lot about my thoughts in interviews, and as a result kept being eliminated. One day I suddenly realized that I'll advance if I can, and not mind if I don't. But I shouldn't have these kinds of thoughts; it made me slack off. I need to spur myself on; I think I got lucky when I made the semifinals of Bigfile MSL. Now that my TvP has improved, I hope I can advance even further. [T/N kind of conflicting with the last answer? I think he means that he'll prioritize team practice over individual league practice, but would still like to advance in individual leagues.]
- Your MSL results have been poor only in TvP.
▲ I often lose to a select group of players. I remember always losing to Kal, Stork hyung and Free hyung. The number of times I lost to them is already pretty scary (laughs). Including the current season, my TvP results have been rather poor, so changing this is my first goal. At the same time, I hope my team's SPL rank will improve; not necessarily to 1st place, but we should at least strive to make the playoffs.
- Your first win after transferring was very difficult, so everyone said you'd have a hard time with the individual leagues.
▲ I don't think so; I'm adjusting very well. The players are all nice.
- Woongjin players' ZvZs are bad; can you help them? (T/N what lol)
▲ No one has asked me yet (laughs). If there's a problem, it can't be fixed by just one person; we need everyone to work together to fix it. Not just I, but the whole team thinks so.
- You're the first Terran to make the MSL.
▲ I was really surprised to have to play this early. They didn't give me any time; I was hoping to rely on mechanics, and fortunately did pretty well. When I watched the fierce 30 minute fight in the 2nd set, it seemed like Killer would win, so I thought "I'm lucky today; I'll get to advance by beating two Zergs." But either way I was confident I would win.
- Yesterday MBC's players said "We hope Light plays well" in their interview; did you see it? Do you have anything to say to them?
▲ I hope they play well too (laughs).
- Last words?
▲ I haven't been on this team for long, so I'd like to thank head coach Lee for helping me quickly adjust to the team, the assistant coaches, the manager's assistant, and the workers. And finally I'd like to thank the players, who have been extremely nice to me.
Grape: I was lucky to be confused
- Anything to say about your first MSL qualification?
▲ I'm so happy I can't even speak anymore. My road to advancement today was very difficult. But I thought, as long as I played well on Circuit Breaker, I still had a chance to advance; I kept thinking about that.
- Your opening was disadvantaged against Killer's in set 1.
▲ People told me I was behind in the early and mid-game, but I felt like I was behind in the mid-late game. When I left the booth, the coach told me "You were behind in the beginning," and only then did I understand. My confusion accidentally helped me. If I had known what was going on, I would've GGed long ago (laughs).
- You've advanced to the MST from offlines before.
▲ I'm still rather nervous in televised matches, but I was too green then; now my skill level seems to have increased.
- You defeated a Zerg that has repeatedly been appearing in Winner's League; how'd you practice?
▲ Actually I really didn't practice much; after SWL I went to a photoshoot, and I slept a lot yesterday, 9 hours as usual. [T/N ouch burn to killer ] But I've always hoped to advanced, and I was constantly thinking of game situations in my mind; I think that helped make up for my lack of practice.
- You lost to Light without doing anything.
▲ Light + Show Spoiler [T/N] +
chinese translator uses a term, 大人, that's really respectful/in awe?
- What are your goals for your first MSL?
▲ Right now I just want to keep my goals to myself (laughs). If there's an opportunity where I can actually achieve my goals, I'll tell you.
- Sharp said that he'll be very active in the group selection ceremony; do you have anything planned?
▲ I'm really easily embarrassed, so I'll just sit there quietly. If I get a chance, I'll express myself, but I've found my movements to be very uncoordinated. I'm afraid I'll be traumatized if I see the VOD of myself, so it's probably better that I not do any ceremony (laughs).
- Last words?
▲Thanks to all the Zerg and Terran hyungs who helped me. winDy hyung is sick, so I hope he recovers quickly. JangBi and Stork conditionally helped me, and Brave hyung gave me a lot of tips too; thanks to them. Also, I lost my cell phone battery, and I haven't called home in a month, so I hope my parents will read this interview and not be worried. Finally, I hope Sharp, Reality, and Jangbi can advance to the MSL proper, so we can all participate in the Ro32 group ceremony.
