Donkey- Let's nto beat around the bush. We want to buy your site. ManifestoCrusher- Um, we play starcraft, not xbox. Donkey- That's ok. We will make it huge. ManifestoCrusher- Um, we don't even have a sponsor for the tournament yet. Would you be interested in a sponsorship deal? We could work out some sweet exposure for you. Donkey- We just want to buy the site. What is your business model? ManifestoCrusher- Our what? Donkey- How much do you get paid a month? ManifestoCrusher- Um, nobody gets paid. It is a volunteer site. Donkey- Yeah but how much do you MAKE? ManifestoCrusher- We pay our server fees with google ads and sometimes we make shirts. We don't make a profit though. Donkey- I'll buy your site. You know, I can't pay a lot, ut I could give you a few bucks for the domain and create a paid position. ManifestoCrusher- But we have about 30 staff. Who gets the money. Donkey- It could just be between you and me. ManifestoCrusher- ... Donkey- So how much for the site? ManifestoCrusher- One million dollars. Donkey has left the chat.
That made me laugh so hard!
Tons of respect Mani, good job making him Rage quit . GG, man

I know it has not got much to do with TL or TL Staff but I didn't want to create a whole thread for something silly.
Thanks.
Good question, though SC2 general discussion thread is probably best.

My question wasn't answered before so I'll ask it again
When will the current LiquiBet for SC2 end? We've passed 3 GSL's so far on the same liquibet. I want to have a chance at winning it (I currently don't by any stretch of the imagination).
Also, does TL.net Bot have feelings?

Someone else asked a few pages back. I guess this constant browsing of TL has made me achive parts of it in my brain lol.

Who is responsible for this? The BW liquibet season will end shortly, with the MSL finals just coming to a conclusion over the weekend. There have been multiple breaks in BW play (the lunar new year for example) that extended the length of this season. The SC2 liquibet season will go on a bit longer but it will be turned over in the near future. Unlike BW, one "season" of GSL simply is just too short right now to turn the liquibet season over so quickly. In the light of recent upcoming SC2 events (namely TSL next month), the turnover has been delayed a bit longer to coincide.

Oh thanks, I tried to read a few pages after I asked, didn't find an answer, I skimmed over the past few pages as well, but I guess I missed that. Thanks though!

Hi
I am a reporter from Yonsei University's english monthly, The Yonsei Annals. I am writing an article on the history of e-sports, more specifically, on the globalization of e-sports. The article will be for our April edition. For this, I am trying to contact either artosis or tasteless(english GSL commentators) + idra (foreign progamer who has tasted both SC1 and SC2 scenes).
Could you please help me contact them? I have already sent a PM to artosis about 3 days ago, but no response. The deadline for my article is the first week of March.
our website: http://annals.yonsei.ac.kr my e-mail: taeyong1991@yonsei.ac.kr
PS: I also plan on interviewing Boxer (contacting), a Kespa representative, a Korean Airlines PR rep., and a few others PPS: I wrote an article on November related to progaming. If you're interested, check http://annals.yonsei.ac.kr/news/articleView.html?idxno=1005
Thank you TL!

If you ask someone if they want to be a mod/banling, do you require anything else from the person besides a yes/no? (EG, resume, background check)
Also, would 2 (i think it has been 2 on this account, possibly 3) warnings in nearly 1000 posts be about average for a TL.net member (not including bans/warns on previous accounts)?

Regarding resume, it's not an applications process. If invited they'll already be aware of your contributions and tl history (which is pretty much all that is relevant). In my case I just had to say yes, although I'd been on staff as a writer for two years or so already by that point.
I think most people manage to go unmoderated, either by exercising common sense or from learning from the mistakes of their peers. You're above average.

I find it hard to get warnings here. The mods are more lenient than I thought @___@ That Mani guy is as nice as a kitten.

As a follow-up to this blog (the non-op part of it), which DBZ character is each admin?
R1CH is Supreme Kai, I figured that one out easily. But Hot_Bid? Kennegit?
EDIT: Hmm... Unless Hot_Bid is Supreme Kai, and R1CH is Bulma's father? (I've been on a DBZ binge lately)

In these behind closed doors staff conversations how close have you come to giving Rek his moderation powers back?
