Which is a fantastic total prize pool, but favours the final tournament too much over the other four, imo. I'd rather see a 5 x $26,000 + 1 x $60,000 = $190,000 total. Same amount, but a more evenly spread distribution, lending more meaning to the first four tournaments and still making the National Championships the single biggest tournament outside of Korea. Smaller tournaments: + Show Spoiler + * 1st Place: $10,000 * 2nd Place: $6,000 * 3rd Place: $4,000 * 4th Place: $2,000 * 5th Place: $1,500 * 6th Place: $1,000 * 7th Place: $900 * 8th Place: $600 National Championships: + Show Spoiler + * 1st Place: $25,000 * 2nd Place: $12,500 * 3rd Place: $7,500 * 4th Place: $5,250 * 5th Place: $3,750 * 6th Place: $2,625 * 7th Place: $1.875 * 8th Place: $1,500 That said, I'm very much looking forward to the biggest NA series making a return, and some amazing moments. Stick a fork in those buns! This ! I think that repartition would make a lot of Europeans, even perhaps Koreans go to MLG. Right now, 5000$ is like 3500€, and a flight+accomodation will be like 700€ (+-1000$).Your suggested prize distribution would be perfect. For instance I'm sure a player like idra would play all MLG with this prizepool.

Would hate pros to lose spots to bronze-diamonds. probably going to be similar to last year with reserved invite slots. they opened reserved invites to TL as well which was how I got into MLG DC... ^_^ hopefully we get an MLG NYC this year, how epic would THAT be.

I usually manage PC's in a corporate environment....but I think a gaming environment would be slightly more kick-ass. We were accepting applications for MLG Referee positions a couple of weeks ago. The applications are now closed. However, if they re-open, the threads are located in the MLG General Discussion forum, on the MLG website. On February 15 2011 07:35 gogatorsfoster wrote: how do you compete in mlg tournoments is it a qualifier or invitation or what? They are open to everybody. There is an entry fee though. When passes go on sale, you'll go to the MLG Online Store, and purchase your player pass for the event, then you'll come to the event and compete. If you don't have one already, you'll need a MLGid to buy a pass, so before passes go on sale, make sure you go and register an account (which is free.) On February 15 2011 15:35 TGsImyt wrote: can ANYONE help me out and please tell me what the GAME Credits are for if you are going to have to buy a spectator pass and players pass anyways what will the GAME Credits do? I am planning on playing at MLG do I need to buy these credits now so it will allow me to get a players mass march 1st? if anyone can show me some enlightenment it will be much appreciated! Thanks! You have to buy either a player pass, or a spectator pass. A player pass gets you into the event, all the spectator activities, as well as being registered to compete in the tournament. A spectator pass gets you into the event, allows you to partake in the spectator activities, and of course allows you to watch the tournament. The prices for the 2 passes have not yet been announced. Additionally, I believe you are referring to MLG/Gamebattles Credits. Those are only for Online Tournaments, on Gamebattles.com, so no, you would not buy credits, to buy a pass for the Dallas event. We got MANY applications, and the applications were for Starcraft2, Halo, and Cod, so you can imagine how many we got. We are still sifting through them, but hopefully we can get back to people whose applications we liked, within the next couple of weeks. Hopefully within the next few weeks. I have no ETA. I'll try to find out for you, but no promises.
