Don't know anything bout boards, but I know that there's an insane amount more comfort owning your own skis, and specifically boots, as opposed to renting, so grats on the purchase bro.

Yeah, renting is just so much more hassle, and costs a lot more in the long run. I used to spend ~$30-50 every time I had to rent. Now I just have to get my lift ticket and im good to go! I'm east coast btw, aka ICE COAST!

It's basically a re-branded Burton Custom.

Also as calgar said. That shade of green is the sexiest thing ever. I might just get exactly what you got because of the design.

Alas I have never been snowboarding, definitely high on my to-do list. Is $450 for bindings/board about average, like middle-of-the-road? Seems a little pricey but I don't know anything and guess it's good quality stuff. Thats actually pretty cheap for a board and bindings, usually good boards cost about that alone. Also yeah the green is sick, and the bindings match perfect!

I have to say one thing about the Burton Missions. I bought a brand new pair of Burton Missions about 1-2 months ago and three bad things happened. The first was that the strap would not catch on the ratchet sometimes. I don't know why it was doing that but it was really scary because I thought it would come undone while I was going down a hill. Secondly, the toe strap doesn't do a very good job of holding your boot towards the back because it slips a lot and just eventually moves to the top of the boot instead of when it should be resting on the toeside. Lastly, the material isn't as durable like the Burton Cartel bindings. The ratchet is not made of a durable aluminum and that may cause problems in the long run. I would say that if you purchased your Burton Missions at a local store, go return them and get the Burton Cartel bindings for just 10-20 bucks more. It is much better overall and a higher quality product. The feel is much better too. It's a better binding overall for only a small addition to the 200 dollar Burton Mission bindings. I strongly recommend that you switch them out, you won't regret getting the Cartel bindings. I promise.

I have the Ride Machete 158 board and Burton Cartel bindings and Burton Hail Coalition boots. I spent about 450 on the board, 210 on the bindings, 180 on the boots, and 130 on goggles (Smith Ignitor Mirror). Snowboarding/Skiing are very expensive hobbies/sports and not for someone that is going to use the board once or twice. I have to say one thing about the Burton Missions. My friend has them, and he says nothing but good things, also all the reviews on them look great. Also the Cartel's dont match my board as nice.

I find myself riding my Burton X8 a bit more though (have a pair of triads I use on both). Congratulations on your purchase!

First of all, the mission bindings were probably defective but at the same time, the toe strap was slipping off my toe and i know that it was because of the design, not the binding. if you are regular do 15 angles to the left on your left foot and maybe 5-10 to the right on your right foot. if you are goofy, the other way around. this allows for you to be able to get into your turns better and more smoothly.

Thanks for the help! Im going to see how the Missions are when they get here, since I ordered online. If the toe strap does move around like you said, ill probably return them for the Cartels.

Try the Missions out. But make sure you know what the return policy is. Did you get it from the-house.com? That's a great site to purchase stuff. You can't go wrong with Cartels. They are sickkk.
