It was a matter of time for SC2 to dominate the current TL forum.
Want evidence? I think seeing the wars between BW and SC2 posters by comparing those two games is enough to call it a fact.
Anyway.
I have got no problems with that, in fact I am grateful that the passion within BW players will never die. And this blog post is not a rant but a suggestion, which may be related to the current preference of SC2 over BW.
I am going to be clear.
Why aren't there any polls regarding BW topics. We still have the Power Ranks, but I kinda miss the poll in the bottom right of Teamliquid with SC:BW matters.
Teamliquid could have 2 polls right?

Most people on TL nowadays are here for sc2, so TL has to cater to them first  .

SC2 is the new kid on the block and that's where all of the news and coverage is. No offense to BW, but the only thing left of it on the website is the PL/SL stuff and there isn't much to poll about.

I don't think it should be a matter of who to cater to but more of a matter of what's the hot topic at the moment.
IE: Since most events going on now are for SC2, that should obviously be the majority, however it would still be nice to have BW polls say during MSL/OSL group selection, finals, PL finals, etc.

I agree. Maybe the designers feel as though that would be a little too cluttered, but I don't really think that should be a big issue. I try to be a part of both worlds, but I find that the ease of access for anything SC2 related is making it difficult to track both games.
