Well, not gone. More like non-functional.
While working on my school work today, my laptop suddenly stopped running all the applications. I've seen this before.... uh oh.
I restart the computer. Get past POST. Whew.
Blank screen =.=;;
So all of my side projects that I was working on (including replays, VODs, translations, documents, and something that I had promised Milkis long time ago... was near finished after college apps) is gone. Nothing important though, as I submitted all my college apps. Whew.
Anyways, I'm on my parent's laptop right now. I don't know how long it will take me to get another HDD.
This also means I might not be able to watch Proleague for a while. Sadface.
Till then, I'll be using my parent's laptop to do my work and surf the web.

Heh, my desktop died recently as well. Luckily, all of my important documents are on a separate harddrive, so all I need to do is pull it out and put it into another machine.
At least you didn't lose anything important

That...sucks.
I really should back up my important stuff. Maybe getting an external HDD wouldn't be a bad idea.

Also, Ubuntu netbook edition didn't really see anything. I'm going to try it out again, then test it with windows disk to see if it can catch any errors.
Other than that, I really have nothing else I can do with it (except manually taking it apart and using the disk as a toy or something).

It's k man, as long as you didn't lose anything important, that's all that matters! =D Also, I hope you get a new HDD soon, cause we need to play some BW during the weekend. =P

Oh no! I won't have to tolerate you in #mafia anymore!
I'll tell Kevy and Uprising the good news for you
PS: Sucks not being able to watch Starcraft, I feel bad for you.

Apparently it's going to be here 1~3 business days.
My dad was too lazy to drive me down to Paterson to pick it up in-store. Huzzah laziness.
But don't you have Windows 7 right now?

I do on my laptop, but I use my desktop for BW/iccup.

Get a friend who knows Linux to dd_rescue it and see if they can get anything useful out. It might still be possible to recover more than you think.
