Xel'Naga Caverns will be the initial map played for each round of 5 after which the loser picks the next map you cannot duplicate map choices. However Grand Finals opening map will be the choice of the player with the highest allotted score, determined by number of wins. If there is a tie in points between the Grand Finalists the default starting map will be Xel'naga Caverns. After which the loser picks the next map until there is a winner decided of the best of 7 match.

The final 8 will participate on-site in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
In Kalamazoo Michigan, at Western Michigan University we are hosting Starcraft 2 Open Tournament. There will be cash prizes and new seasons will begin regularly so if you lose in the pre-lims you can rejoin soon enough.
We are relatively new and just joined WMU as a registered student organization.

Brackets
The event is both offline and online. You are more than welcome to come to the LAN event in Kalamazoo at WMU. The event will be hosted at The Odyssey game store right on campus.
Coming in for the tournament will allow you to meet and collaborate with local people and put a face to some potential practice partners and possible friends.

How do I sign up? Sign ups will be in this thread. You need your US server name & character code. PLEASE WRITE THIS CORRECTLY! Incorrectly entered information may result in you being forfeit.
How many people can sign up? 64 MAX! If you're after 64, outta luck (there will be multiple events though)
"Can I replace someone in the bracket who didn't show up?" Depends, just ask.
"How do I report matches?" There should be a report page on the site after the bracket is launched. ONLY report the game if you are the winner. DO NOT REPORT IF YOU LOST THE GAME.
Disconnects: re-game if no significant action has occurred. If there is a large advantage, the player with the advantage wins.
My opponent doesn't exist: Report a win.
My opponent didn't show up / afk: Report a win.
Can my gang of fans obs my games? No, only official casters can obs games unless both players specifically agree.
Who can cast games? You can stream your own games if you want, only officially sanctioned staffers will be allowed to stream matches (contact me if you want to be considered).
