Also, Mani, why did you only give that MindTrick guy a 90 day ban instead of perm? Mani may have had his own reasons but for me the 90 day is the more severe unless the guy had a lot of posts. A previously banned user can often rejoin fairly early and although we get notified if his posting is solid and he's learned from the ban we tend not to do anything about it. Whereas trying to get around a tempban is not allowed. So the 90 day can keep them off tl for longer.

Why stop at 90 day? Just institute the "ban people until the next World Cup" rule all the time ^^
Also, what was the single worst post Hot_Bid (or one of his alts) has ever made?

1. Because Disneyland is for children, and most people who get banned are behaving like children. That joke has been hilarious since 2002.
2. Because I think it is more painful.

I think you should get R1CH to implement a new type of ban, where it bans an IP for say... 22 hours of each day. The accessible hours would be some ridiculous hours for the local time zone, like 3am-5am, but it's different every day of the week.
Sanity or TL... you decide.

A question: What qualities do the admins look for when selecting Banlings? Barring the obvious traits (online a lot, responsible, etc.), what gets one noticed for the position? Are certain people looked at closer than others due to their contribution style? For instance, would a popular streamer be more likely to be turned down in favor of a VOD uploader or something?

Being a senior member of the site, a level-headed, good poster and submitting spot-on reports are good traits I suppose.

I mean honestly, the people who register, and their first post is in the "change my name" thread should really be at the top of the list.

Finally, zatic, chill, Hot_Bid,Kennigit, and sonuvbob are in an epic SC2 FFA, who wins? Most likely Chill. He plays FFA style in 1v1 already. Hot_Bid would kill one then lose, I am terrible as soon as there are more than 2 people in the game, Kennigit is just terrible, and Sonuvbob I have never seen play anything but I assume he follows the good at coding -> terrible at SC path as well.

If you had to chose one mod to sacrifice to Kerrigan - who would it be and why?

I wanted a new nick when i played dow and that was OppositeSavior. everyone still recalled me from my Supreme commander nick , Coldplay ( even TLO! ) So i use Coldplay ingame on all games. People also think im Savior on my stream for some reason. Also in the "Ask TL staff anything" they told me if i ask nicely you would change it. Would love to get name changed. Here is my rank if it matters.. at all - http://sc2ranks.com/eu/218771/Coldplay
IMO it looks really bad for TL when world #3,519 players have to wait to get their names changed, even if they have more than double the maximum allowed posts.
