The first post said it was for iPhone/iPad. hey zzor it seems really laggy, the logmein program. It doesn't seem to run sc2 well. but it is really cool nonetheless! Ya it's not an ideal situation. In the future, when wifi/internet gets faster and more stable it could become a more popular thing to do.
thanks again~! i need to try this in super internet dream land, Korea!

wow this is insane. i don't have an iPad but i'll send my friends (that do) over to this thread. good luck
|
ughh why do i have to be bad at starcraft T_T
edit: emailed though I'll try it with other games
|
I think it would be best for just obsing and watching replays- and it'd be great for it.
If I had an iPad, I would definitely buy this app.

When the thread got closed I was hopingi that you'd pay the cash to get the amazing product showcased. You did, and it's awesome.
|
oh my god this is such an awesome app I hope you guys make tons of money.
Anyone try out a ladder game yet?
|
I've seen some reviews of the everyAir on youtube and, not to burst anyone's bubble, but everything the guy tried to play ran incredibly bad. Even the log in screen of starcraft lagged so bad that he was unbearable to watch. I don't think that were getting the full story here yet and you should probably check out some other videos.

It probably requires ridiculous bandwidth on both sides.

damn id love to obs games and watch reps on an ipad lol
too bad i dont have one
|
I don't know how great it would be for playing, but I think it would be nice for watching replays and observing and stuff when you can't get onto your computer.
|
Definitely cool. Not for StarCraft, necessarily, but for all of the other things you can do with it. Seems to be a very high-quality VNC with very nice controls.
|
I played SC1 almost entirely with a laptop touchpad.. I gotta say, it's great for a couple hours, but then your finger starts on fire! :D
I am curious about the bandwidth needed.. even wireless N seems like it can't do it, with companies like Microsoft behind it, but gigabit ethernet should be able to.
|
On an iPhone? not viable. On an iPad? That would be very interesting.
Viewing replays on something you can bring around would be awesome though.
Good luck on the project!

Knowing the mechanics needed to play SC2, I think this would be a perfect port !

Yeah, at the start of the video in the OP he seemingly logs in through a LAN address, so I would assume it requires a LAN connection for it to be as smooth.

RTS games such as SC2 i don't think would be enjoyable to play on a touch screen, however watching it's another story. Other games that aren't so "APM" intense would be playable tho.

Is your development strategy focusing specfically on the gaming applications or are you also just trying to be the best RDP around? For anyone using this currently: Do the interface and input controls there for gaming get in the way of doing things like viewing large PDFs(200MB+) that a phone can't load properly on its own?
-Tagged for an android version.
Thanks

Can you play Fallout 2 on it?
|
If i played WoW id use it, but for sc2 it just seems rather forced
|
I'd consider buying an Ipad to observe b.net games...
