I knew almost nothing, and cared little about the game, but your writing style is so amusing I thoroughly enjoyed the review anyways. I can only imagine how much better I'd enjoy a review on game I've actually heard.

I played Gothic 2 which was great, Gothic 3 was disappointing and then I figured hopefully they got it better with Gothic 4. So I torrent it off piratebay and I stopped playing after 2 hours. Honestly agree with everything you said in your review. What pissed me off the most was talking to people. The dialogue system thing fucking pissed me off.

Gothic 4 is one of the worst RPGs ever made. Gothic 1 and 2 are fantastic, and 3 is a mixed bag. Haven't played Risen yet.

By the way, Risen is the actual Gothic 4, made by the same developers as 1-3. This is a completely different company.

IGN gave it a 7.5, which is low for IGN, but it's effectively saying that Arcania is much better than Gothic 3 (4.9) and almost as good as Gothic 2 (8.0). Luckily there are still people like the OP willing to call a turd a turd.
