Edit: I love this thread. Brilliant idea. Here's the 2 main problems: who's considered a "pro" and among those, how many of them want to publicly discuss strategy/their builds with one another? Just know we've put a lot of thought into the topic. I agree. I'm not trying to persuade you to do it. I was merely curious what your position is on the subject. It has many problems. Question is, can they be overcome and if it can, will it be worth the effort? Thank you. lol he already kinda pointed out his position on it. It seems to me that they're a bit skeptical about it because there's no definitive way of finding out how well it would work unless they actually implemented it. it probably would be worth the effort but they would probably have to get a large handful of "pros" to commit to working on it beforehand. thats probably where the biggest issue lies At TL we don't believe in doing something half-assed. If we do something, we do it right. If a project "sounds" good but we can't find a practical way to implement it then we don't do a crap job of implementing the idea. The ideas behind a pro forum are good and there is almost uniform agreement that (at least as far as strategy goes) there should be something to distinguish the good posters from the bad. The issue is actually implementing it in a practical way. There is active discussion about this at the moment and when we arrive at a good solution we will move on it.

Oh and whats the go with liquidpoker, is it owned by teamliquid? or is it a seperate entity. And when was it made in relation to TL and why I believe I can answer this but it was before my time so I may be wrong. Naz and Meat play poker. Back in the old days a lot of tlers were turning to poker and the sports and games section were dominated by it. As such they created liquidpoker, modelled on tl, as a home for that.

@Nazgul (or someone who knows this)
Is managing the site (and now the team) your full-time job you earn your money with? Or are you maybe still a student?

I am leaving to Korea friday 6am arriving 4:30KST PM, an hour before GSL starts. I need to be at the studio in 30 minutes from the airport in Seoul. Do I take a taxi, and if so will they understand enough English if I showed them a map they wouldn't shoulder shrug and get the next tourist?
What PC bang should I go to for training before the preliminaries and for lodging is there anywhere recommended other then a hotel? I see very expensive lodging only and I may seriously consider just taking my whole PC/monitor with me and getting an apartment as I see them with internet for very cheap.
I don't want to die what should I do?
I need to get some money turned into Korean tommorow and its a holiday! My mom says "you're fucked" I have a credit card so that may work.
I cannot find the Gym listed at Gom http://www.gomtv.net/2010gslopens2/news/261 on google maps, is the subway/bus system self-explaintory?
I have never been to Asia but more imporatantly I have traveled on a whim before to a place like Montreal/Italy but these places had some English so it wasn't balls to the wall impossible to get around.
Assuming I get in at 4:30 on United Airlines do I drop my stuff off at a hotel (or a respected TL'rs place whom I will bestow gifts of karma and treats from Vancouver + unlimited breakfasts while I am in the preliminaries/ro64)
Also people say when I lose I need to drink made drunk by one rekrul whom I am unfamiliar with, as I don't drink will I die or what will happen. Trolling craigslist for a place to stay I find many places but I just need a place to stay quickly when I get to Seoul. TL Staff if you can save me from the anxiety of preliminary matches and the threat that when my iphone battery dies in Korea I may not be knowledgeble enough to find a power coverter for my laptop/phone I could honestly break down and type gg into real life
Am I over reacting or is this situation totally the most normal thing in the world? Will Day9 be my personal angel in Korea some how?
Will people know I play Starcraft?

If you search you can find all those answers easily. I'm way too lazy to answer these questions for the millionth time.
Subway is obvious. English is fine.
Stay in love motels. $30 / night. You don't book ahead. You don't check out.
Every PCBang is the same. Don't bother finding a specific one.

Hello TL staff I don't really know where to ask this, so instead of Pm'ing one of you I'll just post this here.
Is there a way to lock the icon's race that appears at the left side of the name? I believe that icon changes each time you reach a set number of posts; but I absolutely LOVE my Dragoon icon (that's my favorite Sc unit) so I wanted to know if there is a way to keep that icon forever.
Thank you very much.

Thank you very much. It's very simple. First, stick around for a few years. Second, join the staff. Third, change your icon to a Dragoon.

Thank you very much. I know a few ways you could keep the same icon forever, maybe not a dragoon one though
