So, 7 or so years ago we moved just down the street about 40 yards to a new house.
Our old house is up in flames and soon to burn down as we speak, no idea how it caught fire yet. All my childhood memories are turning to ash, but that doesn't really bother me.
What bothers my parents and brother is that I said "Terrible terrible damage!"

You're blogging on TL when there's a fire forty yards down the street? Get out your camera and take some pictures NOW!

Imminent danger at hand. What to do:
1. Post on TL 2. Tell people in close proximity 'terrible terrible damage' 3. Reminisce about childhood. 4. Care no more.

I tried to video it with my phone, but apparently it's too bad to see fire during the night. Besides, it was the same fire as every fire; Orange and fiery.
I was gonna' hang out on the other side of the road and watch it, but I remembered the guy that lives there now has like 4 propane tanks in the shop and the house runs on natural gas, so I decided against it.

I'd walk around suspiciously if I were you.

My house burned down while we were living there. I was about 12 at the time. When your house burns down at such a young age it should be a really big deal, though I couldn't of cared less. I went back there a few times. It was a massive 500,000$ house, and where I live thats a really nice house. We lost a worth of about 3,000,000$ in the fire, and never saw any money for the contents, which was where most of the 3,000,000 came from. Insurance companies; Got cha bitch.

yeah
My grandparents cabin burned down while I was there, was pretty crazy, got so hot that it melted the roof and window glass, we went around and collected the pools of glass and metal after it cooled down. It sucked but it was pretty impressive, its crazy how big fires can get, basically impossible to put them out after a point.

Nah, it was some 40-year old guy with a grow op.

People take pictures at fires all the time. It's nothing new. And fire is badass.
PICS!

Failing that just breath the smoke.

Probably burned down some drug lab. No worries.

I guess maybe this is the same kind of deal. Internet desensitizes you to the bad things that happen IRL.
Personally, I'd be freaking out if there was a fire down the street. xD
Hope the people living there are okay!

No. This is a horrible epidemic plaguing America. When something horrible happens, people just pull out their cell phones and take pictures, and don't bother to help. We don't need to encourage that behavior.

We don't need to encourage that behavior. Perhaps you should try fixing this in real life, instead of through the internet. Won't do much good here. >_<

Hope the people living there are okay! I've heard of being desensitized due to stuff like 4chan but video games? Unlike you're playing Manhunt or something I don't really see how. Killing someone in a game is nothing like killing someone in real life.
