Drebin Norway16 Posts November 05 2010 16:23 GMT #21 I'm so sad now, I was platinum rank 1 for along time so I started facing a lot of low diamond players, and I still won probably close to 50% of the time. So I'm guessing I was about to break inn to Diamond league. But then when Fallout NV came out I took a break from SC for a week. After I started playing again I just couldn't win, and it wasn't just bad luck I was playing so much worse then I did before. I have been loosing to stupid stuff all week and today day I even lost to gold players two or three times. Is it like this for anyone else? I want to be able to take breaks whiteout loosing a month of practice.

McIver United States30 Posts November 05 2010 18:28 GMT #23 it's really satisfying to just hop on for a half hour after a long day right before bed, and just smash a couple people 2-0 . Losses piss me off too; I think i'd quit for the day if i lost more than 2 in a row. I feel like even when I'm tired or stressed I can play a pair of really strong games if I watch a couple pro vods right before i start queuing.

CharlieMurphy United States22895 Posts November 05 2010 18:30 GMT #24 Best advice to you is to scout faster and more often, don't let your scout worker/overlord die and keep it aware of what he has. If you see cheese, develop your own cheese builds to counter. Fire with Fire. One build that I LOVE to do, is when a protoss gets way too greedy with Forge/zeal harass and/or trying to FE. I proxy a hatch in/around their base for a queen and spines. Meanwhile just massign speedlings at my base. When the spines finish up and the creep is spamming into their base (from tumor harass) That's when the lings rush in and rape. Even if the rush doesn't work out as well as planned, the creep spreading will continue and they will have trouble placing bldgs.

Genome852 United States979 Posts November 08 2010 23:56 GMT #25 Just went on a losing streak myself... most of the losses were due to stupid stuff. Bad day I guess. The 'losing feeling' definitely makes me play worse. Going to take a break before I drop to bronze.

PH United States6173 Posts November 08 2010 23:59 GMT #26 You know what's funny? Last night I played a bunch of games and went on a winning streak. I went something like 6-2. HOWEVER! I only legitimately won two of those games. I had four people either DC and give me the win, or suddenly say something came up and they had to log and give me the win... How bizarre is that?
