I wish some people would try playing with hacks and slow speed, and write about it, so we would know what a 'perfectly' played game of starcraft would be like.

Does nuke anywhere still work? At least it should very easily detected in replays, as it uses (imho) nuke selection - an action that never happens in usual cases. In general case, information disclosure hacks like maphack are undetectable in traffic / replays since they don't change client network behaviour, they only change displaying of information that client already has. The only way to detect it - antihack started on client's PC, like Iccup's one / Warded.

However recently (or well for almost a year) I dont see people without hotkeys anymore so I assume that the hackmakers have fixed this. Does anyone know?

Seriously why does anyone even care that he hacked? You really play 1v1 melee on west/east thinking you're gonna get a straight up game? If it was on iccup I can see a plausible reason to be mad but even then it's still dumb. Thanks for the interesting read.

BW really needs patching for things like this plus the minhack/500 drone spawn hack

The only way I would see MH useful in PvP is for spotting sneaky DT rushes or proxy bullshit. If there's no cheese involved, MH is useless in PvP. What about storm drops, army positioning, proxy gates, build order poker, and hidden expansions?

It's not something I'm ever interested in doing, but really cool reading it nonetheless. ^^

If you hack, you suddenly grow aware of these positions, or similarly, timings in Starcraft. But I wasn't a hacker, and I knew this. So you can also say, if you are very experienced, and played a lot, you will also develop this innate ability to detect these things. The difference is, that there is this whole learning process, and why, and all the questions you should be asking and answering when you are learning this yourself. If you hack, you are simply given the answer. Also I came to the realization that if you hack perfectly and stealthily, it's as though you're not using cheats at all.
