Even though my rig meets the requirements, I might play the game in this mode too. It's a turnbased strategy game, and to me 3d just gets in the way of things. | ||

Most people started with 2 and probably prefer it because of that though! I started with it aswell and I'd put it in my top10 of games ever, even though my memory of it is very hazy ^^. I prefer 4 over 3 by far though, better in every way! | ||

Can I pre-download the game now? as someone stated above!! Yes. Just buy it on steam. I went for the collectors edition, because I'm a consumer whore. And a Making-of whore... I'm not sure why people think 3 is really bad. Most people don't like 3 because it's generally impossible to support an empire greater than a certain size. It makes you play in a fundamentally different way from any of the other Civ games. | ||
