Bought a XBox360 yesterday mainly for Super Street Fighter 4...craved the game too much after playing at an arcade.
Got this stick: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-dd-49-en-70-3c2h.html
Don't know if it's good or not, I hear the TEdition by MadCatz is the "best" so I would be interested in any input on sticks.
Anyone here play? I'm in Taiwan so play might lag but it would be awesome if someone could take me under their wing. I've been playing Ryu, don't really know any combos and can barely SRK -> Super consistently. I pretty much know nothing (D+ in matches) but have been reading the basics online.
Also, I'm looking for recommendations of other games I could try - casual gaming really, nothing horror or scary. Any suggestions for games that are good for parties (with girls who don't console regularly) would be good.

hey i havent seen you in forever, even though i've now learned you've been posting still forever. Despite everything, good to see you dude. Sorry im completely useless in relation to your post though.

I've got a TE and have used a lot of others and to be honest, yes it's the best (never thought I'd say that about a MadCatz device though).
Not sure what the playerbase is like in Taiwan but it's probably good enough to get games on XBL often enough without any lag.
As for improving? Just practice practice practice and read a bit on shoryuken.com's wikipedia. They have some good info there. Also try the combo challenges.
As for other games... not sure, I only bought my 360 for SF4 last year too and SSF4 this year and nothing else lol.

that stick (looks like a hori EX2) is alright. the problem is that if it breaks you gotta do brain surgery to fix it.
the madcatz TE and hori real arcade pro series use real arcade parts. you should be fine though. i think you'll know when it's time to move on. i play the same on the EX2 and the TE anyway.
if you're in taiwan, i think you actually get a good connection to japan so you can play them online. the guy who took out justin wong this year in evo was from taiwan. he has lots of matches online recorded against daigo.

If you're looking for games to play I'd always recommend Call of Duty. Those are usually pretty fun FPS if you like that kind of thing.

madcatzs TE's are built like fucking tanks. can even mash on it for games like mvc2 and its got a good durability
the bulkiness so good and solid when u play too

I'd recommend checking out the TL thread for ssf4 stuffs, http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=120840
I think you should use the home version to practice, practice, practice your execution and reaction timing (are you able to react fast enough to pull off a bread and butter combo when your attack suddenly clips them?). Practice execution at home and apply them in the arcade and in person. If there are any arcades near you that have ssf4 cabinets, (I think capcom is starting to produce them?) go and play!
The shoryuken forums are a good place to see what combos you can use / find advice for playing as whatever character.
