Had to format my disk and reinstall windows since SC2 won't launch the installer and let you choose where to install, unless you have more than 12GB on the C partition. Also windows 7 wouldn't let me extend my C partition. So only solution was to wipe everything clean. Sucks. same problem. cant be the only solution. would be plain retarded if blizz fucks up that bad.

I did search the intarweb before the wipe but without any success. And I would say the installer not starting because ONE of your partitions doesn't have enough space is a bad enough fuck up already. yep. huge fuck up esp for a company like blizzard. had the same problem when i installed planescape torment few months ago. but that game was from 1998 or something. today its plain ridiculous :/

I can't believe blizzard did something like this though, it's one of the biggest fuckups I've ever seen. I even emailed them about this, because it just doesn't make any sense. exactly my thoughts. was thinking about loading the client too but thought "hey im gonna get the dvd anyways!". stupid me that i expected that the installer is just like evry other installer in the world. thank you blizzard for destroying my launch day. /edit dling at 140kb... yeaaah....god...

No seriously, I'll have to see how much free space I have...and it better be close to 12gb my c: is a pure OS partition. it only has 14gb which is enough for windows+all system programs. only way would be to format the whole hdd which is not an option at all.

PS. Have you tried contacting any blues on the official SC2 forums? They may have an answer to your problem.

If that's the case, I seriously think Blizzard needs their head examined. exactly. i started the blizz downloader on e:. i set the path to e: sc2 . then i swapped the 0kb "installer tome 1" for the one on the dvd.started the downloader again and it continued fine loading all other files. i then started the installer on said e:\sc2 folder. and it STILL gives me the same error. btw i also tried copying the whole dvd to e: and i also tried ripping a image of the dvd . jfyi before you waste your time like me. If anybody who IS able to install and create an acc would put a post up on their forums, it would be much appreciated! yes please. with a link to the thread. this is a joke. i cant install the game from dvd or the download client. i cant post on the forum. i cant call customer support since they are obvious getting thousands of calls right now. and all of that just because i have a dedicated partition for my OS (which btw is a smart thing overall...). well done blizzard. well done.
