Sounds like prohibition, remember how that worked out? Not saying I disagree with you, just saying it wouldn't work.

Not saying I disagree with you, just saying it wouldn't work. i was only trying to make a point. idk if it would work out or not either. the thing is the FDA is being very partial with their bans. if drugs are banned and the cure for cancer is banned, but not glutamate, aspartame, alcohol or nicotine... seriously what's their rationale b/c their claims that one is safe while the other is dangerous is shot full of holes a thousand times over. it's merely their power that enables them to maintain the force. if prohibition didn't work then the drug war and the drug ban wont work either. yet we maintain one and not the other. it wasn't an alcohol thing. the resulting behavior and reaction would be the same for any substance, just as we see now with drugs. the only economic effect it has is that by making something illegal, it's pushed to the black market, and the price goes very high. this is the case with every black market item. what i see in all this is the classic example of concentration of power leading to outcomes that are nonsensical if the intention is to promote good... but make perfect sense when we consider the human heart equipped with concentration of power.

Can people stop spouting this nonsense that nicotine has no positive effects? Its a mood-altering substance, same as weed, alcohol, cocaine, meth, caffeine, and a massive list of other substances. Some people like having their mood altered, and for some people the risk smoking presents is worth it. Every decision you make in life is a cost/benefit analysis. There is no right decision in any case - there are only right decisions for an individual.

Thank god most people on this website are smart. I can tell you are not. From a perspective not developed in space but in reality I bring you truth. The Electronic Cigarette rewrites thousands of years of history of smoking tobacco, hash, hookah, marijuana. Now using technology which has existed in the marijuana world for years to the tobacco world changes the game. I fucking love smoking. I like nicotine, nicotine does not give me cancer, nicotine is a lot like caffeine. The Electronic Cigarette allows me to eliminate 4,012 (some odd) chemicals AND maintain my personally satisfying luxury. Also I'm at the Modesto location, I'm meeting with doctors for Kaiser smoking cessation next week. The patch has a terrible rate and is horribly expensive. smoke51.com the brand that I sell, is backed with a lifetime warranty on the fucking hardware. ALL YOU BUY IS REFILLS WHICH YOU CAN EVEN MAKE YOURSELF. In my store they are $0.60 a pack. The local valley here in Modesto is plagued with asthma. The local Pulmonary Doctors claim that not only does the product have no effect long term but THAT IS IT SAVING LIVES. The facts are this. If you become addicted to cigarettes at anytime in your life and then quit. After fifteen years of tobacco sobriety you have a 25% of ........... not smoking again. The odds are against everyone. This is a $200 billion dollar industry that is causing a cyclone of actions that deplete the poor, disease the poor, and make the rich richer. This allows you to have your cake and eat it too. It is the evolution of smoking, from fire and smoke to Lithium ion battery, atomizer, liquid cartridge, vapor. Don't believe the hype? This product frees tobacco addiction and compared to a pack cigarettes a day for a year, you save (in my currency at five dollars a pack per day is 1825) about fifteen hundred your first year and 1675 or so your second year. Plus the whole .... priceless better air and life. Sorry man but you need to actually live and understand the implications of products before you narrow minded demiss them compared to conventional cessation devices. This device is used for a lot more then cessation, it is fucking amazing recreation boy.

My store doesn't do internet sales though ...... so maybe it isn't about money? Maybe it is about spreading the word to the 1.2 billion smokers on the planet? Maybe you should go be astounded somewhere else. This community has seen me be a father, open a store, open more stores and then buy another store and quit smoking cigarettes which has plagued me for years. Hell yes I want to share the word. Its better then religious or republican dogs sharing their crap opinions.

On July 25 2010 04:10 travis wrote: So does this end up being more or less expensive than regular cigarettes to get the normal highs you would feel from the nicotine? About 15% of the price to the well informed buyer/consumer. About 50% to the uninformed buyer/consumer. About the same to the ripped off consumer (in this game there are a lot of companies that are giving people deadly chemicals in these e-cigs, this is an unregulated industry right now, please be on your guard guys, otherwise you could end up with some E-liquid made in china, with propylene D something that is a form of anti-freeze.) The company Smoking Everywhere so far has poisoned 67,000 people in the last three years and targeted kids with their adverts. I am so happy to be on this wave, once we enter the age of Electronic Cigarette, regulation this industry will throat fuck the tobacco industry.

Sorry but I've done a lot of drugs, cigarettes don't do anything to me, if there are any effects they're extremely, extremely, minute. Also both my father and mother are heavy heavy smokers, tried this electronic cigarette thing for awhile, both failed. I'm not saying it doesn't work, I'm just disappointed because the person at the store here was sounding as enthusiastic as you are about it attackzerg, and was promising all sorts of stuff, and.... nothing. My mom still smokes a billion cigars, and my dad still smokes a billion cigarettes, both have been trying to quit for countless years now. They've spent countless dollars on patches, gum, even a help line. Sigh

Although its effect is not controlling or blunt. The effects are small and cherished more and more as the threads of habit begin to multiply. Eventually they have the same effect as any other drug, they turn your normal feelings inside out and make even the most honorable person, a helpless junkie. I smoke no nicotine 90% of the time because I like smoking, only in the morning-night do I need nicotine at this point!
