...isn't easy. I've been searching for this turn based game for a while, and I was wondering if TL knows the name of it. Heres what I remember from long ago:
I played it a couple years ago, so it might be an old game.
It was turn based with a mystic medieval theme. You controlled a small army with some soldiers, an archer, a dark mage, priest, and some other things.
All these pieces were on a board (grid) and you moved clicked to move them around and made them attack the enemy.
Before a match (in the lobby), you could set up the positions of your units to face the next opponent. The board was basically split in half and you could arrange your units however you wished.
I think you could buy some units if you won a lot of games, but there was a max to how many units you could have and the unit type you could have.
And... yeah. That's not very descriptive but thats all I really remember =/ Ty if you can find it for me
EDIT: If anyone was wondering, it kinda looked like Age of Empires 2. It wasn't like this crazy 2160p HD blu-ray game.

Ohhhh man, I remember this game but I can't recall the name either. There was some trick with the Assassin where if it was very low health you could do some special attack which sacrificed the it to kill everything around it.
|
Yeah, there was an assassin too. I remember one "skill" with the mage was you could make a fire in a cross formation (5 squares in the form of a +). Hopefully that helps lol.

Heroes of Might and Magic!!
I'm playing HOMM V rightnow, second campaing
Heroes III is the best no doubt, but Heroes V is really awesome. If you havent tried yet because you played the IV and thought they had killed the title, I advice you to play Heroes V.

Civilization 3 is a turn based strategy game. Really fun IMO (4 is great too but a lot more complicated and I'm not some1 who wants to dedicate too much time to learning that game since my video game time is mostly occupied with starcraft anyway)

I was too late to post.
I had bad memories of Tactics Arena because others always have dragon and cash pieces when I play with the beginner set. I got owned 70% of the times.

I always thought to get the high level pieces you HAD to buy them.
It was like impossible to win without buying, so after 2-3 fights I quit. It was cool though!
I was thinking of this then the op said looks like Age of Empires and I was like noo must not be it.. lol
