Amazing resume's aren't everything

I for one would prefer having a good time, and spending quality time with good friends
and making memories to fondly look upon later in life. Said "amazing resume" man has done nothing but study and devote his time to work. Not that it's bad but.. it's so bland

you only live once, and its short. While i understand my responsibilities as a student i still DO recognize my responsibilities to myself as a human being

Hey man, really it's no sweat. If you manage to get into one of the UC's, that's great! All undergrad studies are really the same, it's up to you how hard you want to work. Associating yourself with better peers is really what's important.

Students worry too much about having an amazing transcript. Unfortunately, it's because of all of these ridiculous standards set by public universities. I was accepted into St. Olaf College (a private college on the high end of the spectrum here in the U.S.) with something like 5 AP classes (max offered at my high school), something like a total of 5 different extracurricular activities taken, membership in the NHS, 31 ACT and a 3.89 unweighted GPA. Don't stress yourself out too much. Find a school you really like and just aim to get into that school. No one will give a rat's ass about what you did in high school the moment you get your acceptance letter.
