A new computer capable of running SC2 should be powerful enough to emulate the PS2, probably even at higher FPS and resolution than the PS2 could handle. You can buy the games and run them on your computer via the DVD drive. Currently there are still a few minor graphical glitches and inaccuracies with PS2 emulation, but for many games they would be hard to detect even for someone who has played the game on the console itself.

ME2 was better, but by the end of the game I was incredibly bored as well, only one gun of each type in the game, and you end up using the same (cool at first) abilities for the entire thing....plus that fucking mining mini-game that gets you money which is completely worthless in a gameplay sense. I loved the game at the beginning, but by the end was just pissed off and bored. Dead Space wasn't a great game, but it was actually interesting and cool, you had to pick your weapons carefully and the zero gravity was well done and fresh. Good atmosphere too, although the ending was rather shitty. Borderlands COULD have been great, but they fucked it up with the numerous broken abilities, not enough item prefixes/suffixes, the terrible interface that doesnt show all item mods, and the fact that you don't get any good gear from bosses, you get it from repeatedly running chests.... The character abilites got old fast too, as you only have one active power for the entire time. Maybe Borderlands 2 will fix these obvious mistakes and be really sick. Still worth one playthrough. I have DLed and played every single new release and sorted them into folders called GOOD. WORTH PLAYING, and ABSOLUTE SHIT. My good folder contains Starcraft, COD4, Diablo 2, and Counter strike...so depressing. For the worth one play catagory you could try Mirror's Edge Assassin's Creed 2 Crysis (If your comp is a beast) Titan Quest and Dead Space like I said At least you won't feel like you just had bamboo splinters shoved under your nails after you beat them...

The world is beautiful and the game is really fun and original with a really intense atmosphere for all of the bosses and the worlds. Do not spoil it for yourself in any way( do not look at faqs, screeenshots or reviews), but if you ever get a PS2, grab this masterpiece. Oh embrace already mentioned it , there is seriously no game that even resembles this masterpiece. Alternatively, you could play it on the PC with the help of an emulator, since modern PC systems are quite capable of PS2 emulation. Before anyone pounces at me, emulators themselves are completely legal. As long as you actually own all the games you play and a PS2 to extract the BIOS from, you are not doing anything wrong.

Games I played: - Fallout 3: Great game, nice atmosphere and story line and character stats/system, but I feel like the developers could of done a better job. It's a post apocalyptic fps in an open world where you can kill anyone and take any useable item, go anywhere and pretty much do anything (if your strong enough). The whole entire wasteland looks exactly the same and it doesn't look as realistic as say something like stalker. It's a fps/rpg that cn be played in the 1st or 3rd person view, but it's best played in the 1st. - Half life 2 + episode 1&2: I don't care what anyone says, I really don't like these games. It was okay when it came out, but with really simple gun play/ shooting sequences, easy puzzles, a story line about as straight as a ruler with basically no side quests or anywhere to explore, I just didn't dig this game. Maybe it's just the style the game chooses to pursue that I didn't like, but I still didn't like it. It does a good job for what it meant to do; be a straight fps action game with mediocre puzzles and shooting sequences, but I did not like this game, particularly episode one and two. Maybe I just outgrew the series but I found this game, particularly episode 1, just really bland. Im sure that 99% of the gaming community will look at this as blasphemy, but my opinion stands. - resident evil 4: Now I absolutely ADORE this game. I really can't find enough good things to write about it. This is a survival horror in this 3rd person perspective, and it's just really well made. The shooting sequences with the zombies is really fun, albeit it might be a tad bit hard to get used to because you cant run and shoot at the same time, but slower enemies make up for that. You go about through different environments shooting zombies and finding new weapons to upgrade, and you have to save some girl because some bad guy stole her. The bosses are all really fun and the game can get kinda spooky at times, but it's nothing compared to like the first silent hill or some equally terrifying game. It has a real feeling of isolation and being stranded in a desolate land with zombies crawling around it that I really like. The bullets are scarce and the zombies come in large amounts and it the game doesn't feel like it's a full blown tom cruise action movie, which I really like. Resident evil 5: Survival horror with co-op set in Africa. Now this game is also good, but I would say it's more of an action compared to resident evil 4. You move a lot quicker in this game and with the addition of a NPC as a permanent sidekick, the feeling of horror really gets removed from this game when compared to other resident evils. Still it's very similar when compared to resident evil 4, but I'd say it's worse because it's not as scary, it's way too action oriented and fast paced for me, and overall fun-ness for me is worse when compared to the previous resident evil. But some of my friends like resident evil 5 more than RE4 so it really depends on your taste I guess. - Dead space: Survival horror set in space. I also didn't like this game. Repetitive levels, very little creativity, terrible story (zombies invade a ship in space, where have I seen that before?) and absolutely no art design or creativity in the atmosphere (unless you like looking at a wall in a space station) made this game a not enjoyable one for me. The shooting system is okay, but it's such a small innovation that it didn't really cut it for me. It's really more of a combination of the best shooters/3rd person action games blended into one just for the sole purpose of making a profit. Yes maybe all games are designed to make a profit, but this game is really unoriginal in my opinion. It's like a action movie that stars some a class holywood actor with a 100 million dollar budget and a 50 million dollar advertising campaign. There are a lot of other games you can look into, but I can't really say anything about them because I have yet to play them. I only last week myself got a new computer so im slowing advancing through the list of games I want to play. Here are a few games I think you should check out: - Stalker and it's expantions - Bioshock + bioshock 2 - Deus Ex (the first one - elder scrolls 4 - dragon age - battlefield bad company 2 or call of duty 5 if U like online oriented shooters - Mass effect 2 or just check gamerankings.com in the PC section that's all I can currently think of. Obviously this list could of been better, but there's only so much I can do. The reviews for the games I just did I wrote it all in like 15 minutes and I didn't really edit it, so if you find a spelling or grammar mistake, or if it didn't really make sense, sue me.
