huh thats pretty scarce. What are their stances on importing, from Japan maybe, I mean if somebody had the money could they import at least a old nintendo or something ?

Well... one shitty arcade doesn't mean all of NK is like that. In fact, I could probably find some shithole around Canada and take a bunch of pictures exactly like that guy's doing.

I'm pretty sure that it's safe to assume that what you see in that link is about the best you'll see in North Korea.
At least for the general North Korean, anyway.

Problem is, it's a lot easier for you do that than it probably was for whoever got those pictures.
I highly doubt it's much better around the country, especially considering that was their nation's capital city.
But, it's hard to tell with how no one goes over there and how supposedly hard it is to get media depicting real life there.

i'm pretty sure that is as good as it gets... considering people can't even get enough food to get by, i don't think they would be worrying about video games...

a lot of the arcades in south korea don't look much better tbh

Considering the last set of photos I saw from N. Korea contained photos of a beach that was actually barbed wired off to stop people from trying to swim to China, I'm gonna say that it's probably fairly believable that this is the best N.Korea has to offer.

They barely have electricity in North Korea so to claim that they are on par with the rest of the world is even more ridiculous

I laughed then I cried. Even just the generation before me have relatives in that hellhole. Pretty sad.... and funny, but sad... mostly.

Sorry SJM, didn't mean to elicit any hard feelings. I know how you feel, I have relatives in Asia too who lead meager lives.
Regime change in DPRK will be possible after the current rulers step down. Eventually someone will see that current policies aren't helping the country at all, and we'll see a possible reunification.
Time will tell.

tbh i didnt expect any games, let alone video games, to be available for north koreans. the whole regime is built to praise and worship their supreme leader, who doesnt know anything but to drive his own country and people into ruin.
