The hype during the OSL finals was that "Effort survived/trained through Hell to face a god (Flash)". Hell being the re-re-re-regame he survived through.
So, Kim Carrier's "Curse" actually worked as a blessing, cause he has already conquered hell

EDIT: I am aware that Kim Carrier's prediction was wrong, but what do they mean by hell. It's taken from a TV programme, featuring the usual OSL commentators. One of them, Kim Carrier, is famous for his curse - basically whoever he picks at the start of the OSL to win it ends up failing.

I just didn't understand what they meant by hell and forces of darkness.

I love the choice of words. Makes it so much more stronger and amplifies the effect. Kim Carrier is truely a master of words.

Flash let Effort win because he bet against himself!
