Now, has that changed in that the ps3 is superior to the 360, or is it even now? Im trying to decide which console to get. I'm mostly into RPGs and Action Adventure games on consoles, and use my PC to play any shooters Im interested in. Please don't turn this into a console war between fanboys. PS3

I'd wait for that if you wanna get 360. PS3 seems like a better deal at the moment though.

Valkyria Chronicles - well-respected TRPG Demon's Souls - one of those one-character Western-style RPGs, though by a Japanese developer; it reviewed well but trusted sources tell me it's no good Cross Edge - terribly-reviewed crossover multi-company RPG Xbox 360 RPG exclusives: Blue Dragon - fairly bad game by Mistwalker (most people are formerly the FF team at Square Enix) Lost Odyssey - same as above The Last Remnant - pretty bad game by Square Enix; also has severe frame rate issues Infinite Undiscovery - a relatively mediocre action RPG by Tri-Ace with a bad story and decent combat Mass Effect 1-2 - I won't comment on this Fable 2 - don't know much about this Cross-platform RPGs: Final Fantasy 13 - take it what you will, but it did terribly in Japan Resonance of Fate - my favorite RPG of this generation; an action RPG by Tri-Ace with Sega publishing rather than Square-Enix Tales of Vesperia - typical higher-budget mainline "Tales of" series action RPG (many people like it) Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope - another mediocre action RPG by Tri-Ace with bad story and decent combat Dragon Age: Origins - don't know much about this Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - I won't comment on this Enchanted Arms - don't know much about this Fallout 3 - I won't comment on this Bioshock - I won't comment on this I know I'm forgetting some stuff, but in this generation the 360 is the way to go for RPGs in general. Many of the cross-platform games were on the 360 first actually. edit: I think many people are still biased from the PS1 and PS2 era where the Sony system had all the RPGs as well as all these RPGs only released in Japan. This is no longer the case. Almost all of the popular action adventure games are cross platform, except that God of War is on PS3. The 360 has Dead Rising though, if you count that. edit again: Even though this game isn't out, it should be mentioned that the next game by the ICO and Shadow of Colossus team will be PS3 exclusive. (Well duh, it's made by Sony themselves.) The Last Guardian is due for sometime later this year or maybe even next year.

For RPG's the Japanese are better known for it, I'd go Sony for the FF titles and generally a better RPG line up in the future. Most good RPG's will be for both, while the Japanese companies will most likely lean towards PS3. Edit: Fable 2 kind of sucked, it was really short, kind of interesting but not really challenging in the slightest. I ended up just whoring up my money and buying property and making myself a medieval Donald Trump.

The multiplayer experience on the 360 is generally better than that of the PS3, hence why I switched over when my PS3 exploded. Edit: PS3s usually have pretty better single-player games than the 360, but since I'm not interested in those, I didn't get another PS3. If you like those though, go for it!

I have the FFVII discs also, such a great game (but I haven't beat it myself yet :S). But on topic I have a 360 and PS3 but I think in the past year I've used my N64 more than those two combined. Pilot wings anyone?
