So I accidentally discovered that former Sonata Arctica guitarist Jani Liimatainen and Stratovarius vocalist Timo Kotipelto have a finnish power metal supergroup called "Cain's offering". Other band members include Norther and Wintersun bass player Jukka Koskinen and drummer Jani Hurula.

They have released one album and it's damn good. The songwriting and vocals are top notch, and you can expect a mix of Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius pretty much. It's exciting power metal that isn't afraid of turning down the tempo alot of times. Basically it's very varied and I can't get bored listening to it.
