If this gets out the entire industry suffers a tremendous amount due its size. Just look at the War3 progaming scene after the whole map-fixing scandal.

You know how I always went around saying progamers started losing because the fame and money got them distracted by girls / alcohol etc? I was wrong. I would actually argue that you aren't wrong. It's hard to say that Savior's "slump" was justified simply by throwing away matches. Think of it on the side of the Betting House -- Savior slumping doesn't do the betting house much good, as people will now expect Savior to lose more and more. It's also unlikely that people will continue betting on Savior, in which case, the Betting house would actually want Savior to win at certain points. At best, the players threw away a few games, not enough to be "in a slump" (ie, anything that can be remotely predictable isn't too good for the betting house, unless they can "pay" players to overcome those expectations). So yeah, i wouldn't say the original explanation changes at all -- you're likely "not wrong" about this, although selling a game or two could have easily lead to the other.
