Hey guys, for a quick background feel free to check my last blog post.
To sum it up I'll be studying abroad this next semester (July-Nov) and I was wondering if any students there are looking for a flatmate for that time period. I know it's sort of a long shot, so I understand if there aren't any takers, but I would rather live with some Australians than with the other study abroad people (although that should be fun too).
Please post/pm if you think this could work out and we can talk further.
I'm getting very excited, only 3 months till I'm on the other side of the world!

My brother's got a place in kensington so if a spot opens up I'll pm you the details.

I can't help you with a place to live, but as a teacher who has seen many many exchange students come through the school, go live with the natives. You will have a much better time, and much better experience (9 times out of 10) than living with other exchange students. You will avoid the angsty homesickness from others, and the clique forming that invariably happens.
You could also check the university website / craigslist.

Well, that picture was my initial thought, too.

drinking grog to contact the spirits is fun

Sniffing petrol and losing a thong at the servo's always been the recipe for a great night out.

Yeah, I was sort of hoping to live with natives, but from what I understand the dormitory housing is very limited and I'm a little hesitant about hopping on craigslist and randomly selecting a roommate.

its most likely better than mine and i get about 100 dl / 80-90ul
|
i read the title as NSFW lol
as for school network, here at american university, i get 1.4 mB/s dl and 1.2 mB/s ul. pretty amazing
|
UNSW internet is awesome, it's 50x better than my Optus Cable shit.

i think optus is pretty quick compared to others

there's 2 internets at UNSW, there's uniwide which is pretty unstable and inconsistent if you're using it wirelessly, some days it's really slow and drops out all the time other days it's quite fast etc. i tried play SC on it and the connection drops out like every 5-10 minutes, cant really play on iccup.
there's a separate internet connection for the colleges that you pay for, it's pretty good for australian standards but charges .3 c/ MB.
LOL uniwide dropped out on me while i was posting this. Ffffff
