hahahahahah omg this has got to be the funniest thing i've read the whole week
you should make a video and contact boxer or something, he always took his left hand off the left side of the keyboard and used the arrow keys during intense micro battles because he didnt want his cursor to leave the center of the screen.
this is really funny, would like to see a video or something haha
and no i dont think it's cheating =D

This needs to be on the front page if a video gets posted.

I found this really really funny for some reason hahaha Honest I'm too amused by this to call it cheating

Haha, that sounds hilarious. Video now!

In the future, all SC2 pros will play with 2 hands and 2 feet. Can't fight progress.

I remember a thread, (or maybe it was even a rule for some event) that you can't remap hotkeys for sc, so like a protoss couldn't make their probe hotkey something other than p so that it was closer to their left hand. Now I admit I was wrong about the use of the word remapping in this instance (I'm not well versed in the computer world, I thought it was a catch-all) but the point still stands that he is moving his arrow keys away from their normal location on the keyboard. My understanding is that under accepted sc tournament rules that would be considered cheating...or at the very least he would have to be very persuasive to get the tournament organizer to let him do it.
As I said though, I have no problem with it just on iCCup, and I honestly doubt that anyone would. In fact I wouldn't mind if he was my opponent in a tournament and he did this. But the answer to the question "Is this cheating" is yes, according to my understanding of the (possibly outdated?) rules of tournament sc.
Also, just to prove or destroy my point, any tsl2 staff want to comment on whether or not this would have been ok to do in tsl2?

(maybe physically yes, but mentally and apm wise I see this as an advantage.) Once he gets good at it he will be able to micro large battles without mouse-scrolling and without his left hand ever leaving the area where all the relevant hotkeys are.

That is incredibly awesome.
You must attend a TL LAN and come equipped with you comp, keyboard, mouse, and most importantly your DDR pad.
I mean... if you win TSL using it then it's cheating. But I kind of doubt that'd happen. If you can manage to make use of it so it's actually a useful tool in-game then I think you should do it just for the lols.
|
you should be allowed to use this in tournaments, but only you - because you came up with it, and you aren't high level enough to win TSL or anything, and because it's awesome
|
That is totally awesome. Plus like you said you got to D+ zerg, I doubt playing a little footsie with kerrigan would really help out all that much anyway :D. And definitely not enough to be construed as cheating.
|
That's pretty cool. Technically, if you're using more than the keyboard and mouse, I think it's cheating. Either that, or whatever progamers do is fine. 5/5
|
This just in, Starcraft 2 will ship with a DDR mat.
|
Actually I wish Kespa would allow this, FBH would be all over it
|
video got delayed but no worries it's coming tomorrow
|
Haha. I doubt some people would allow this, but it is still amazingly awesome. Can't wait to see the video.

This is so fucking awesome
