It's ridiculous when R1CH takes over your computer to fix it. The stuff he's doing is so foreign to me I might as well be in the year 2175 where we control computers with our brains.
He priced out computer parts for Hot_Bid. Knowing it was good enough for R1CH, I simply purchased the same computer. If R1CH told me to set my computer on fire to fix it, I would do it without questioning it.
I also think R1CH could ruin my (or anyone's) life if he wanted. Like you call him a newby at BGH and then the next day the cops are battering down your door to find 180 gigs of child porn that wasn't there when you went to bed.

Lmao! That's why you conform to every one of R1CH's need.

Yea, agreed with that OP, R1CH is so great

You know, its always the overly helpful and oddly caring ones who end up going ballistic.
+ Show Spoiler +Seriously though he is amazing. AND has the best icon to boot.

Agreed Chill. R1CH is an exceptional breed of the TL.net community.
Any chance you could post the specs for Hot_Bid's and now your computer? I'm in the market for a new comp and quite frankly if RICH says it's good enough for you then it's good enough for me.

i bought it in canadian dollars. but i also added a $210 monitor, $5 cable, and $120 windows. It was somewhere around $1227 including all that, not including shipping, fees and taxes.
so id guess around $900 CAD? That would probably bump down to $750 or $800 USD.

edit: nvm..

LGA 775 is a platform that is at it's very end of life. If you're looking for a later upgrade path, you should either go for an AM3 platform or a intel socket 1366 platform.
It's not bad specs per se(I bought a computer with similar specs back in 2008), but it's not very future proof.
EDIT: forgot, hail rich! ^-^

before TSL I didnt know that much about r1ch, but in some wierd way seeing him talk on IRC motivated me to finally get into programming.
