So I play volleyball at my highschool and today we had our fourth practice of the season. Starcraft came into discussion as a few of them know I am into Starcraft (a few have challenged me and I will have to play them soon >:D). SC2 came into the discussion and suddenly one of the new players mentioned that his uncle was the voice actor for Tychus Findlay. He said that he had the beta because of his uncle and he even supplied his uncle's name, Neil Kaplan. My teammate's last name is also Kaplan.
I just searched online and found the name of the voice actor for Tychus Findlay: Neil Kaplan.
"On the Tychus Findlay myspace page, the second friend listed is Neil Kaplan, a voice actor best known for playing Optimus Prime on Transformers: Robots in Disguise. Not sure if that is a clue to who is playing him, but does seem possible.

According to wikipedia, he does a lot of work in the voice acting and entertainment industry. I saw a link to his website on the wikipedia page and he even looks startling like my team mate. What a small world!

Hah this is pretty cool, one of my classmates' dad works for blizzard and he became such a nerd after that cause he got into DotA and WoW and recently acquired SC2
Maybe your teammate is actually the actor uncle and is merely acting as your teammate and friend in a reality show about you that you do not know about yet.
Beg him to say "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost!" In fact, get him to say "One shall stand, one shall fall!" on tape, and play listen to it before every volleyball match.
Someone in my school says he has a CD key, but he's the guy that always bses everyone and we all know not to trust him. He said he'll "bring it in" to show us LOL.

Neil Kaplan didn't do the voice of G1 Optimus Prime, that was Peter Cullen. Neil Kaplan voiced Optimus Prime in the TF:Robots in Disguise cartoon: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Robots_in_Disguise_(cartoon) His portrayal is pretty close to Peter Cullen's though.
