i just noticed that i have 25/26 liquibets won... my method is to not over-analyze it, and pick who i feel to be the better player/team currently.
I am rated #1 in the liquibet, and I will make it my personal goal to continue to liquibet for all of your hopes, dreams, and aspirations of perfection in incarnation. that is to say that i will continue to try to seek perfection in my liquibetion.
how are you all doing in liquibet? anything you want to complain about in relation to a missed bet or a bet you wish you hadn't made? i personally blame sparkyz for not being 100% accurate, as they ruined my perfect liquibets by 4:0ing. damn sparkyz.
It was really nice to click liquibet, click "rankings", and see my name on top. i do not feel i will stay on top, but i am on top as of 2/07. When I get back from my class which i have to leave to now (or i'd put more time into this), and after I watch the superbowl, i'll update this and my other blog i've made.
i got 8th in my 1st ever LB season going basically like you, not over-analyzing but just going with the feeling. i couldn't break top 300 in next two where i spent so much time lookig at the stats.heh
Strangely enough, I lost a lot of liquibets during the last week, while gaining many many positions in Fantasy. I don't know what that says about my game prediction skills.
I missed this season's liquibet - did not made any of the votes - and is waiting for the next season to come around
Actually being in an high-ranking is to my belief not that much of an accomplishment at the very beginning stage of the game. Because single upsets tend to screw you over, being in top #10 when about 50 points liquibet has progressed is real accomplishment in my eyes.
I'm currently placed 176, the highest I've ever been ranked. I'm very happy. I seem to be pretty good at predicting TSL, even though I'm generally going with the name that sounds most familiar. I've missed a few Proleague bets, but most of those are pretty easy too when you get to know the teams.
artosis fucks up my liquibet "gosi[terran] is the next big thing" but loses to an inactive jianfei despite practicing with b teamers "i heard brat_ok is at the top of his game" my ass
I was 6/6 liquidbet and I missed 2 TSL bets. I pretty much gave up after that. Cant be bothered when I stupidly miss bets like that. I get to drawn into it
Well anyway, tips for you to stay on top. Helps looking at the maps and what MUs most likely to send out etc and calculate wins from that. But everything is pretty random in winners league. Less predicatbilty, since you cant see who is playing who. Guess in the end it boils down to whoever has the currently strongest players who can take out most of the opponements team.
