Holy fairy fuckin godmother... Normally, I'm a tolerant person, I have nothing against where people come from, I dont even dodge Koreans! I certainly dont have anything against players from certain countries... But as of late when playing HoN EVERY SINGLE TIME someone does the following:
Joins the game, picks shit heros (lets say you have Sand Wraith, Panda, Predator and Witch Slayer, the last picker, who didnt talk at all during the rest of the picking process, suddenly picks Scout or whatever pr0 aw3som3 hero that you know would be shit in this situation.
He proceeds to not talk at all during the game, communicating only through pings on the minimap, generally usually plays quite good, has good mechanics, never get hit by javelins/hooks, manage a good amount of dodging against Torturer/Pyromancer. But continuously ignores playing with the team, often goes of to farm when the other 5 enemies are pushing etc...
Eventually when it's time to concede, NEVER votes yes, and after a few votes prints out his first message of the game:
Russja no quit, play finish!
Suddenly his english improves, he starts spouting out "nobo tema" which i guess means noob team, and similar in barely understandable english. Not realizing that often they put us in a really shitty situation, ending up with some awesome lane like Devourer + Scout or the similar.
After a while you start taking a quicker route, asking "rus?" as soon as you suspect he might not speak english often nets you a DA, and then you can just watch him do his thaaang, because "RUSSIA LISTENS TO NOONE" and so on.
I'm at a point now where I really dislike playing with russians, when I see people pick shitty heroes, asking "rus?" or "ru?" almost invariably nets me a da or a yes. My favorite one was probably when I asked him why he made such a bad pick at the onset of the game, where he responded: "I'm RUSSIA, russia no1 at dota". And this is only the ones who are bad at english, dont even get me started at the ones who can fully communicate with their team, yet chooses not to, because "russians are the better players always" etc.
Oh, and keep a lookout for Scouts and Zephyrs. You might just have a russian.
Yes, I am aware that not all russians are like this, however I wont sugarcoat it, alot of them are, and they represent a clear majority of the players acting like this, this behaviour is scarce among non-russians you encounter in HoN.

people concede way too early, and way too often
it's common to see multiple people try to concede after one lost team fight
|
Haha, what if it's just a group of trolls who thought it funny to give Russia a bad name?

You misspelled Brazilians multiple times in your blog

I just got this, ahahah.

I'm not russian, and I tend to play Scout (or any other carry) when I hit him in SD. I just don't trust others in public games to carry good enough for me to play support.

Yeah, I'hve heard americans have similar experiences (whoah, almost wrote problems) with brazilians.

I can't stand it when people say, "WHAT I DIED WHAT WAS THAT NO ONE CALL MIS??? NOOBS!!!?"
I never call misses, nor should I think you have to. Look at the minimap, it takes all of half a second, and HoN isn't apm intensive that you don't have half a second to look at it. People who complain about not calling misses are just sad. They need someone to look at the minimap, and then tell them what they can easily find themselves.

uh yeah, if you look at the minimap and you see a color missing do you just always b to your tower? you need people to call miss as enemy heroes are in fog and it's much easier for the person in the actual lane to call missing rather than you looking at the minimap tracking all other heroes. dota/hon are team games and you need to tell your team when there is a possibility of them getting ganked. esp when you are mid you can give valuable info on whether the other hero has the rune and where they are gong etc.

I agree wholeheartedly with HoN being a team game. That's why whenever you play in random rooms, the team that communicates the most wins. But calling misses shouldn't be an excuse to people getting ganked. Next time you play, look at the minimap every 10 seconds. That will be more than enough for you not to get ganked, and you will notice patterns of when to push which lanes and when not to.
Calling misses is one of the essential things in regards to communicating w/ your team, but I don't think that should ever be an excuse. Everyone should be keeping an eye on it.

I agree that it's no excuse, heck, 2/3 times I call a miss, people die anyway, and 1/10 you STILL get a "WTF NO MISS NOOB GG YO CONCEDE".
But not doing it is just stupid, I hope I never have to play with you.

Hate to say most American players I play with / against are really bm...
I think the average age is like 12 on HoN.

it's common to see multiple people try to concede after one lost team fight that's funny coming from you LOL heh yeah but you dont play hon, it's ridiculous how many 15 minute or 20 minute concedes there are. it's on a whole nother level from what i used to do in TL IH dota. tbh a big part of me wanting to FF in those games is mostly because I couldn't stand playing such passive, boring games any longer.
