Fingertip. Zerg user, C-, 150 apm.
As far as I can see, there is no clear relation between rank and mouse grip.
Edit: Watching the MSL today, they showed Kwanro's mouse grip and it is a fingertip too. So you can count Kwanro on your research. Kwanro: Fingertip, zerg user, progammer, above 300 apm.

Why is many fingertip? Isn't that a very odd way to play? Are people misunderstanding? Or are only people who use something else than palm grip responding?
Pretty sure 99% of normal people rest their palm on the mouse and pretty sure that for SC people will just switch more into claw grip during intense moments.

Fingertip Grip D ~1800
Although my mouse is so small that using the palm grip would result in my fingers feeling up my desk...

it kind of depends on what kind of games people grew up on, I played alot of games at high sensitivity so for the first time sitting down palm gripping was uncomfortable and sluggish because my fingers would drag on the ground so eventually I developed the so called claw grip.
But in my opinion anyone who uses palm grip is totally lazy

EDIT: Haha just realized I use claw.

It's commonly known that for SC you'd rather use a small mouse, and those naturally shift you to fingertip
Fingertip, C- 3200, but many seasons ago, when I was still playing.

Your fingers drag on the ground if you use palm grip? All normal mice are designed solely for palm grip. How do your fingers drag on the table? Palm grip doesn't mean you don't use the fingers. It means you rest some of the weight of your hand on the mouse. With claw grip you arc your fingers differently to move the mouse more with your fingers and as a result you don't put much weight on your mouse anymore.
You can't really see the difference between palm and claw grip since it's more about how you transfer force rather than how you position your hand. But finger grip should be very clear to see. So can someone find a video of a progamer that uses finger grip?

Also palm grip will lead to your wrist hurting after long sessions while fingergrip and claw won't (due to less weight being pressed from wrist-> mouse.)

Palm Grip C ~ 4200ish?
There are a LOT of fingertip replies. O_O It feels really weird to me. I am using the Logitech Mini Optical like every Korean Pro.. and this mouse is SMALL. So that might be why I am using Palm. With a bigger mouse, my hand might not be able to palm it lol. Claw is just weird.
