Are there any such fan-made maps that are very fun to play? I'm not talking about tower or hero defense mind you, you're actually playing melee but 100% defend.

If you like melee campaign-style maps, try the Endless series, which are remakes of the campaign maps with increased difficulty. They usually require 3-6 players though. | ||

i always used cheats and just made 12 sairs and mass reavers and basically only made scarabs (sairs to kill guard/muta). mass reavers so amusing | ||

Basically what happens is you start in a fully open middle base area with random waves of units attacking you. As time goes on the waves get more powerful units and more units in general. The goal is not just to survive but to build up a strong enough econ and army to strike the 4 heavily guarded cerebrates (hero units, static de, etc) at each corner. Also, when you kill one- it pisses them off. The OG map is T vs Z, I modded a bunch of maps so it can be PvZ, ZvZ, and even a TvP version (that is impossible, the others I have beaten though). If it doesn't, you could try to assemble a team and beat the 'Offensive Strike' maps. PS- PM me if you need a partner or whatever. | ||
