I'm loathe to break these up since some are 30 minutes long, and I think it'd be easier for everyone if they're all in one piece. Google told me to change my account to 'Director' from 'youtuber' which I did, but I still cant upload longer videos. Anyone know how to bypass this?   | ||

- Corporate Partners (you have to pay to be this obviously) - People who did something complicated around 2006 to become a "director" It is impossible to upload a video over 10 minutes long at this point from a new account unless you are a big corporation. | ||

And there is another way of uploading longer than 10 minutes, it just takes alot of effort. You need to become a youtube partner, which includes uploading content regularly, with lots of popularity. Once you've done that for a while apply to become a partner, and if you succeed. Youtube will be allowed to place ads in your videos for the right to upload whatever length you want, as well as part of the profits. | ||

And yeah, Youtube generally doesn't allow you to upload longer than 10 minutes. There are a number of exceptions, but unfortunately none will apply to you I am afraid. | ||

It wasn't too complicated. You just had to write them a few paragraphs about how you make your own videos, and make it sound believable. Like what software you use, and what audience its suppose to attract. I had a failsafe speech and I used it a few times just changing the phrasing :-) Helped quite a few people get approved directors back then, and made 2 for myself (jon747 and violetak). If I'd have known they'd stop it like that I'd make a lot more for future use... There was a period of time when Klaz asked his fans to email youtube in hopes of turning his account to full director, and I'd say many people did so. But it didn't help. So if a 12,000 subscriber account doesn't even get close to being noticed, I'd agree its almost impossible to get a proper director account these days, unless you let money do your talking. | ||

I'll sort it into different folders, zip the folders up and send em over to you so you wont have to actually do any of the sorting really  | ||
