So I didn't really want to post this rep up on the Strategy forum, because it was a game that I won and I think if I posted a game I won, I'd probably be criticized or I'd probably look arrogant. I decided to post it here in my blog. I opened up with the normal Siege expand -> Flash Build, choosing to make 3 marines because the entrance is unblockable. My opponent went an extremely early reaver rush, which essentially caused no damage, because I was able to build turrets + siege mode came just in time to defend the rush which coulda killed me if I didn't have turrets + siege mode. I then put up 4 more factories quickly, because I saw him take his 3rd relatively quickly. I went for a 5 fact timing push. However, it failed. The game eventually went into the late game phase and I eventually ended up winning, which I don't understand how I pulled off.
My question is, how could I have protected the gas expansions which I tried to get up when I don't have much units because I'm running low on gas? Why did my Timing push fail? Should I have went for mass vultures based on the very low amount of gas that I had? Thanks.

Why are you still playing on Luna?
Use more vulture drops. And more dropships in general.

It was on East and newer maps generally aren't circulated that well on East so I just joined a Luna game. I'm not sure a drop would have been a good solution, mainly because the problem with dropping is that at most of his expos, he had cannons so vulture drops probably wouldn't have been very effective. Also, I devoted most of my resources to that timing push so a drop would have been extremely late.

Im gonna check your replay soon, but as I was reading your post it striked me the first mistake you were doing was trying to do a flash build. There's no close 3rd gas here so that build is obiously not good. And second of all I think that map Luna is a little bit shitty, and few players even plays it anymore. So I would suggjuest you to play more modern maps. You can't even accmulate the same gas amount as in other maps, cuz u would need 4 scvs to get full gas saturatation. So a normal timing push in the mid game should be with only one machine shop if u want to make a quick one.
