Hey TL! First blog here... and wow time passes fast. I was in grade 10 when I first read about pvz strategies on TL, and now my first blog comes when I'm about to enter university.
In 3 weeks I'll be at mcgill getting my life science on, and I was wondering if there are anyone else here who's also going to/at mcgill who can give me some advice. If you're going to mcgill, we could get in touch and talk about starcraft and all that jazz, yay!
And I think? mcgill has a starcraft team or something.

You lucky bastard! I heard the girls at McGill are really hot and sociable. Have fun, and don't party too hard
|
Have fun at uni! It's going to be awesome....
|
Lol I'm asian so I think my inherent nature will stop me from partying hard... And getting into med school is gonna take alot of work. Yeah apparently the female:male ratio at mcgill is something like 4:3
|
Awesome, my bro went there, he really enjoyed it :D congrats dood

Getting into McGill med is not easy. Aim for 3.7CGPA or up.
Apart from that, most of the starcraft that happens here is very spottish. Few D+/C- players (at least last year) at the computer taskforce, and I'm pretty sure there are some C rank players who stop by for the annual tournament.
Best of luck, hope you aren't in a res or dorm!

Lol i'm currently designated to go to Gardner, which is one of the upper rezes. And I hear McGill med school mostly accepts quebec residents, is that true?

Every university prefers local students (and even more so, ones that graduated from the same university) even though they all deny that on paper.

Well I know that U of T medschool often denies those from U of T because the life sci program is so hard and the students often end up with a low gpa.
And I think I read somewhere that McGill medschool entrance demographic is something like 90 something percent quebecois and the rest from somewhere else. That seems to be a big difference lol..

Im going to mcgill too! Im in music though, the Schulich School of Music is located at another place than the other buildings i think.
Are you from montreal ?
Im very exited about this, and i will have to work hard on my english cause now it sucks so much .

Not really. Say if you are from York they will weight your GPA down.

McGill has a CSL team that's about 4-5 members, ranked B B C C on iccup or something. I'll PM you the coordinator's contact info if you want

I'm thinking of going into biology/computer science joint major. I looked at the course requirements for biology major and they look dreadful, lol.
