In 3 weeks I'll be at mcgill getting my life science on, and I was wondering if there are anyone else here who's also going to/at mcgill who can give me some advice. If you're going to mcgill, we could get in touch and talk about starcraft and all that jazz, yay! And I think? mcgill has a starcraft team or something.   | ||

Apart from that, most of the starcraft that happens here is very spottish. Few D+/C- players (at least last year) at the computer taskforce, and I'm pretty sure there are some C rank players who stop by for the annual tournament. Best of luck, hope you aren't in a res or dorm! | ||

And I think I read somewhere that McGill medschool entrance demographic is something like 90 something percent quebecois and the rest from somewhere else. That seems to be a big difference lol.. | ||

Not really. Say if you are from York they will weight your GPA down. | ||

The girls are really nice and most are good looking, however, they don't all have the best social skills. The campus, I'm sure you've seen, is amazing, especially when there's no snow. The library is good too, it's very easy to find books and there are many spots for you to study in peace. All in all everyone is really friendly, including professors and T.A.s. Don't hesitate to ask a T.A. for help with an essay or to correct a low mark...ah but you are med. never mind lol I recommend getting involved in a school club early on - I'm going to start doing Aikido this year through the school. One thing is don't get carried away with drinking. It gets old fast if you do it all the time and before you know it you will have blown through hundreds of dollars pointlessly. As for myself, I'm going into 2nd year for East Asian Studies. I would really like to join a Star Craft club or something of that nature but I'm not that good yet - I only started playing the game again recently. I mostly follow the Pro Scene. | ||

Outside of Montreal it's a bit harder to get bilingual services, but South Shore (longueuil/st hubert/st lambert/brossard mainly) and laval are about on the same level as Mtl and that's pretty much all there is 'till Quebec City (unless you really want to see what's up with lumberjacks and stuff) However if you need a guide or help learning French I can do that :D | ||
